Here it is! Mat has finally got his hands on the new Porsche 911 GT3 RS! This is pretty much the most hardcore Porsche you can buy in 2022, and Mat s about to find out if it s the ultimate, must-have Porsche! For starters, let s check out the awesome design! There are a whole load of serious aero upgrades added from right at the front through to the rear. Up top, there s a new front splitter, huge vents to help with air management on the carbon fibre bonnet along with additional vents surrounding the front tyres. Then round the back, not only do you have an updated rear diffuser You ll also find the biggest wing EVER added to a Porsche road car! And it s not just for show - it s 100% active, too! Next up, let s discuss performance changes. It s pretty similar to the standard GT3, but of course, the output has been changed slightly. The power is up, from 515hp to 525hp, while torque is actually down, dropping to 465Nm. The GT3 RS s home is the race track, but it can still smash out a 0-60mph in 3. 2 seconds! On the inside, the GT3 RS comes with a load of upgrades over both the standard 911 & GT3. Naturally, there is GT3 RS badging throughout, from the kick plates to the dials. It comes with bespoke dials with yellow surrounds as well as a unique steering wheel! There s also some carbon fibre trim throughout the cabin, including carbon fibre-backed bucket seats! As for the price, it starts from 178, 500, rising up to 204, 500 if you add the optional Weissach pack! So Is it worth it? You ll need to stick with Mat to see for yourself!

I have to say that was pretty cool I did not see him downshifting at all in the paddles and yet that car is downshifting and blipping while he was on the brakes. For those of you who don't know about manual transmission vehicles. A manual transmission vehicle can stop in a shorter distance of the identical automatic vehicle. The reason for that is you can use the transmission for downshifting to help slow down your rear wheels or your drive wheels depending on if it's front rear wheel or all wheel. Not sure if that's the first car to pull that one off like that but I can definitely say it's the first time I've noticed a car doing that.

These big PR push for the GT3 RS is kind of funny as this car has already been released a month or two ago essentially. I think the fact that the NEW C8 ZO6 just dropped like a nuclear bomb on the auto industry has the Germans and Italians nervous. More so the Germans. Why spend a 250-300K+ USD on this car or any latest gen 911 for that matter when in terms of HP per dollar the C8 and especially now the ZO6 is just superior. This car makes the same power as the Z51 Stingray C8. The new ZO6's 5. 5L 8-cylinder flat plane N/A motor w/ 670HP for under 200K USD fully loaded with every option is just better.

I just had a vision. Matt Watson, Chris Harris should be in top gear together I havnt quite picked a third but Matt and Chris have a witty cleverness that could replicate the old top gear but in their own way. Yes! Please Matt get Chris and find the third. The third has to be a more serious guy like captain slow

Clearly a single purpose track car. With all those aerodynamic aids underneath the with a few inches of ground clearance do not drive on normal streets unless you want to be repairing those. If you got 200k lying around and you want to be a formula 1 racer looks like a great choice

I noticed to be more excited about a new 911 than when there is an introduction of a new Lambo or Ferrari.
I am more intrigued about what the geniuses at Porsche have come up with to make a great car even better than how many ponies Lambo have put in their latest model.

Navigation systems actually date a car. Most navigation systems are garbage anyways. This will help keep the car from feeling dated in future years as more and more people use their cell phones for navigation over systems. I dig it. Keep it timeless.

You are buying it for the same reason everyone else that gets one is. It will be worth a fortune in the not too distant future. If you say your reasons are not speculative lets see a picture of the odometer in 5 years time.

Those high HP from turbo, Hybrid, and Electric motor will never give you what NA does. GT3 RS and T. 50 is a true gift for car enthusiast knowing these type of cars are going out in replacement of RC cars

Just get the C8 corvette Z06 - its better in most daily applications and i bet its not that far on the race track (with the ZO7 package) - all for less than half the price. Underdog!

At least in this generation, you don't feel like you don't have all the options due to empty button space. That was sad feeling to see frame from buttons that are not used.

Braking distance. Maybe track conditions no? Numbers given by Porsche should apply to perfect asphalt. If you have dirt, grains of sand, whatever, should be larger distance.

This body with the engine and drivetrain from the Turbo s with a little hot sauce would have my preference any day not a fan of the engine its outdated in my opinion

If I'm not mistaken in racecars the higher the number on the Traction Control the lesser it actually interferes so actually the launch could have been better!

Fun Fact: Crash the review car and as penalty buy the car from Porsche. We can campaign that Crashed and Mileage car is cheaper. #makestrugglingmatsonlydreamcometru
