Porsche drag races don t get any better than this! We ve got our hands on the all-new, limited edition Porsche 911 Dakar, and it s joined by a whole host of different Porsches for a drag race on mud! We ve got our hands on a 911 Dakar, 911 Carrera 4 GTS, Macan GTS, Taycan Cross Truism, Cayenne e-hybrid and a first-get Cayenne S, and we re about to find out whether the 911 Dakar can truly leave them in the dust! So let s see how they all compare. Starting with the Carrera 4 GTS, it comes packing a 3-litre twin-turbo flat-six that can deliver 480hp and 570Nm of torque through all four wheels. In terms of weight, it comes in at around 1, 600kg. The 911 Dakar is based on this car, so it comes with the same engine, power output and weight. However, it s got a number of updates over the standard car! It s been lifted, and comes with an updated chassis and bespoke off-road tyres, just to name a few of the changes. The second race features the Macan GTS and the Taycan Cross Turismo. The Macan is packing a 2. 9-litre twin-turbo V6 that can put down 440hp and 550Nm of torque. It delivers this power to all four wheels and weighs in at 1, 960kg. Alongside it, we have the all-electric Taycan Cross Turismo, which has two electric motors that produce 571hp and 650Nm, and it weighs in at 2, 245kg. Finally, we have the two Cayennes. The first-gen is a Cayenne S that s had a whole load of mods done to it to make it capable of tackling an off-road course. In terms of power, it s packing a 4. 5-litre V8 that can put down 340hp and 420Nm. When it comes to weight, it tips the scales at 2, 150kg. And last but by no means least, we have the Cayenne e-Hybrid. It s powered by a 3-litre turbocharged V6 and an electric motor, which combine to produce 462hp and 700Nm. Naturally, it s pretty heavy, coming in at around 2, 300kg.

Seems pretty pointless this video. More fake races by carwow. just a blatant advertisement for Porsche. Amazing cars. None will ever be raced on that sort of track other the Dakar. But most of them will kept in private collections. This video is just a Porsche advert

The beauty of the Dakar is that it inspires so much power. Matt became more and more confident as the video progressed and by the end of the video Matt was pushing himself and the car to its max potential. Beautiful. This is why you want cars like this: power mindset

The human body containts two kidneys each one worth around 250k, the dakar is around 225k, so by selling one of your kidneys you get 25K and the greatest time of your life. Sounds like a bargain to me

Coolest drag race i have EVER SEEN.
Btw to be FAIR the off road times are not to be taken seriously because of the difference that even 4 meters of distance Beetween cars can make (in terms of grip)

Of course as the Taycan won it was banished to the muddy side with PSM enabled to make it lose. Standard issue Carwow. Always rigging drag races so more powerful lightning power loses. Total farce.

Racing on dirt with street tires is kinda pointless. Only the dakar (and maybe the old cayenne) here had the right tires, all others could've had a million horspower, it wouldn't make a difference.

Porsche are already the Kings of the super SUV (Cayenne turbo S) and the super sports car (911 turbo S. They are beginning to invent challenges for themselves now

So the Dakar has a straight six has it (56 sec. That's one for Yianni to file away when you make fun of him not knowing anything about the car he is in. lol

This is a fantastic ad for Porsche. I think I enjoyed this more than the runway drag races. Throw in a few turns, and we got ourselves an amazing video.

That 911 dakar would be so much fun.
And the 911 GTS did alright for a car that's not exactly meant for much else than a smooth bitumen road

Ever wonder what happened to that video where the Porsches' engine blew up infront of Matt? Always thought there was a follow up to that
