The shape of the torque curve tells us more about straight line performance than anything else.
The weight, weight distribution, drivetrain, steering geometry, spring and damper rates, and the ratio of the rack tells us more about how enjoyable the car is to drive than anything else.
The question is this;
Do you want the quickest 0-60 time possible at the expense of everything else?
Or;
Do you want the best driving dynamics at the expense of a few tenths to 60?

There is 1 problem no one here is talking about, try using full power in any EV in really hot or really cold weather, good example i drive a little tiny 1. 5 turbo colt 165bhp not fast by modern standards but yesterday i kept up with a Tesla model S the standard version, I spoke to the owner and he said he had a power cut, so that is the problem batteries don't work well in hot or cold weather.

Even if that MG won, it has zero noise or smell, it's a fkcing MG, and its just minging. Why oh why are people embracing electric cars! Until they are law, they can keep them. I am a petrol head and will continue to be so.

I'm glad that pure speed is no longer gatekeeped by steep buy in prices. At the same time, I'm not sure it's a good thing either that any boring old Sod can just buy an electric car and be instantly quick.

one thing is definitely clear, 99% of electric cars just look like shit. what brings you the acceleration. i prefer to drive a car with less power, but a nice car.

Honestly i don t mind having slower petrol car thats fun to drive and sounds nice. Rn I have 258hp BMW 6 with inline 6 and I would only change it for an M car.
