Which is better Front Wheel Drive or Rear Wheel Drive? We look at the FWD vs RWD debate from every angle We look at Cars like the Civic Type R, the Austin Mini, the Toyota MR2 Spyder, and the Camaro ZL1 1LE. We compare Nurburgring laps, Sales Numbers, and Performance between Transversely mounted engines and Longitudinally mounted engines. Sorry but please explain to me how your logic for the point system works because this sounds like you just got surprised by FF cars having options. very aftermarketed comparable to a standard FR. My first car was a Supra and I now drive a Corolla so it's not like I'm new to these platforms but I definitely feel your point system was biased. For instance on repairs YOU can repair a FR or upgrade one with just about any job being doable in a driveway with the Hanes manual. With an FF you almost always need an engine hoist to get to anything or else you're needing to go from the bottom and removing just as much. Sorry but your justification video for some kids mom to buy them or hand down their old Honda Civic isn't impressing me.

How did this guy talk about RWD vs FWD for 16 and half minutes, and haven't even mentioned drifting? You can't drift an fwd, AND BEFORE grip fanboys or YOU CAN, IT'S JUST HARDER people attack me, don't even try to talk because you're already wrong from the start. The fwd drift is not a DRIFT, you have to keep adding angle just to stay on the same line / at some point you have to restart the line and you can't control it as much as RWD, because it FORCES itself to straighten up to the front wheels, it just tries its hardest to follow them, so if it looses grip it's not really losing grip, it's just a bit behind. that's the best i can explain it. I had this debate / argument with a german guy 2 days ago, and i literally video called him just to draw him a diagram and explain to him how it works. TL; DR Fwd drifting is not drifting, but losing grip at highest. and yes, he did mentioned formula drift, but it was in along of saying how RWD appears in motorsports and fwd doesn't, but it was never talked about why drifters can only use fwd cars, that's why silvias, miatas, 80's corollas, etc. are so popular and have MASSIVE drift tax on them.

Awd typically experiences a lot of front end push requires hand brake to get really tight turns. Front wheel drive pulls a little better but will still understeer and require hand brake to make a very tight turn. RWD is going to track the best the front tires won't pull or push until you reach the limit of the tires you're running. The rear can slip out on you but that's your job as a driver to keep the front ahead of the rear. Tight turns can be dealt with by a simple clutch kick encouraging the car to over steer. Just dont be late on counter steering. I would say awd is best for driveability RWD best for fun factor and decent track ability. Fwd is going to be worse everywhere on the track as the front tires are doing all of the work.

Up here in Ohio, if its not FWD, its not going to be driving a lot. 60% of the year is rain and snow, if you have a RWD in these conditions then good luck but, RWD in snow can be a lot of fun, if your looking to slide around. Most RWD cars are stored, but my friends 94 mustang sees everyday though. For me, my 07 Monte Carlo LT is a good choice. Decent power with good daily options too. Had it for 3 years and Ive taken it to a lot of shows as well. Also for mid 2000s Impalas, those can be built machines as well.

For drivability and fun there's only really RWD. There are great FWD and AWD drive cars who are very sporty and fun i wont disagree but an RWD car will always be more adjustable and you will have more control over weight transfer, achsle and wheel grip, simple as that. In the end every drivetrain has its advantages and disadvantages, im wont hate on anyone for having fun witht heir car.

Honestly I think fwd should have gotten one or even two less points in fixability. Just because it usually isnt parts that make fixing cars expensive, but the labor costs. Even if you do it at home it is a pain in the ass? Because for half the things in the engine bay you need to at least take off the front bumper (source: just did a headgasket for a family friends daihatsu cuore)

did he just say an MR2 isn't an ideal daily driver. ARE YOU SERIOUS? SW20 has more than enough room for my 64 frame, enough power to get to 60 in 5 seconds and enough luggage space to go on a 2 week camping trip. if I got the T top model I could carry long objects. anything bigger I just hire a van which I've needed once in the last 4 years. IT IS THE PERFECT DAILY DRIVER.

Unless you're driving like a dick, i've never found rwd cars to be any different in wet conditions. Snow is another story. FWD is cheaper to manufacture, and can be used across a multitude of platforms, which is why they're used in economy cars. If you want better handling and no torque steer then RWD is the way to go.

Im happy to see the fiesta and the focus st getting more recognition lately, I mean people have always known about them but you didnt hear many people talking about them, their super dope cars, may not be the best power plant to make big power but if your looking for a super fun daily that you can tune, defiantly recommend an ST

I've driven FWD and AWD before. Just bought a 350z and I love it, even if I have not hooned it before. Though I didn't ever track my AWD WRX. My 1st AutoX was done back in mid March with a 2. 5L Mazda 3 and it was fun. But now I wanna go back soon with my Z
