Hyundai Veloster N - The Science EXPLAINED Justin: I have a 2019 Veloster Turbo and I love it. I considered the N but no leather seats or sunroof was the deal breaker (and no dealers near me had one. The turbo is super fun as well and it also pops and crackles from the factory although not nearly as much. 10 years ago I wouldn't have even looked at a Korean car but now they are really hitting their stride. They remind me of the Japanese cars of the late 80's and early 90's.
And what he said about Veloster culture is true. You see another driver and you'll get the head nods or thumbs up. It's kind of weird, but cool. Never had that with another car (although I do know some other cars also have this kind of culture.

Jeremiah, this was both your best and worst episode. LOL Your delivery was great, and the explanations were clear, but your jokes man. LOL. you had to be doing that on purpose.
If I still lived in a city, and not in a small mountain community in the bright end of nowhere, I would own a Veloster. The Veloster N is just a fantastic, fun, and practical car.
I tried one out, compared it to th Golf R, and much prefered the Veloster. It was more comfortable, a little more stylish, far cheaper, and the salesman wasn't a greasy liar telling me that his R was beating Mustang GT500s all day every day.
The Veloster N is just a great car.

I love the hate this brand get. Hyundai has actually taken the place of the affordable performance car. that Honda Toyota Mitsubishi and now Ford have left behind. For SUVs and family crossovers( civic type r not withstanding a 37k civic is not cheap and the si is 5 grand more than a Veloster turbo or Elantra GT N line both that offer the same to better performance for a discount. It's a hay day for cheap from cars. since The US and Japan have gone up scale or just left the market all together.

Great video! I just recently traded my Elantra GT N-Line in for a 2020 Veloster N. Best decision ever! Seriously the most fun car I've ever owned and a great daily driver! It's hard to drive it in any other mode than N custom. The noises it makes are absolute smile inducers! Handles like a dream and it's quick. Maybe not the fastest thing on the road, but sooooo much fun to drive! Again, great video. Keep up the good work Donut Media!

Turbos make more power at lower rpm? That makes zero sense simply because of the phenomenon of turbo lag. Turbos won't make power til mid to high range because they have to spool up first. Turbos actually do make more power on the higher end of rpm, not lower. It's superchargers that make more power on the lower rpm and cause parasitic draw on the engine as rpm increases. Do your homework properly bruh.

2011-2014 2. 0T Sonata with a earlier design Theta II had a twin scroll turbo as well. The engines are very similar. This is just a redesign of the 2nd Theta II that's in the 2015-2019 Sonata but with a bigger turbo.
I'd like to see you produce a video on how the Mitsubsihi Evo X 4b11T and the Genesis Coupe 2. 0T Theta I are similar. It can come back full circle to the Theta II in the Veloster N

motor trend did a comparison of the CTR and this car. from a feel perspective overall they aren't that different to drive, and you might be hard pressed to tell the difference without going back to back. But the performance ceiling is higher on the civic, as you'd expect with the price. Whether that even matters is really up to the buyer

7: 32 - C'mon Philipe, that's not wheel lock. that's just rippin' the e-brake!
Probably easier to show on a sport bike clip what wheel lock is although there are drift examples. Also some manual drivers that already have the muscle memory of great downshifts find rev matching very obtrusive. Some others love it.

Hyundai has really come a long way and really improved the quality of its cars, I used to have the 1996 Accent back in the days and the car was so terrible that my friends wouldn t ride with me in it because it s too embarrassing for them to be seen in a car like that. My accent was pink though.

I feel like Hyundai is going through what the civic went through when if gained traction as a fun car, as long as Hyundai does not make this a once and done deal could be another fun import to ad to the list, but knowing are luck they will make a better version and not released in the U. S
