Bugatti vs koenigsegg - which is the better hypercar (and why)

FBTwitterReddit

Rating: 4.5; Vote: 2
Bugatti and Koenigsegg are two hypercar manufacturers with a storied history. The top speed clash of the Veryon and the CCXR is only matched by the Agera RS and the Chiron Super Sport. From the Nurburgring, to Spa Francorchamps, to the Nardo ring, to the Autobahn, the Volkswagen owned Bugattis and Sweedish Koenigseggs are still competing. Versus put two automotive giants toe to toe and Joey Rassool tallies up points to see who is the victor. Anything from heritage, performance, and even availability are taken into consideration

Wait, so you're saying that you can compare a company owned by none other than Volkswagen, and thus with near infinite finacial support and the best testing facilities, with a private owned conpany, which has only been around for 25 years and which has to actually make a profit whilst financing themselves? This comparison is so extremely biased and the points system doesn't make any sense. Bugatti wins on a claimed) top speed, whilst you mention a higher theoretical top speed from Koenigsegg at the end. You also forgot to mention that Koenigsegg smashed Bugatti's 0-400-0 time (which Bugatti was quite proud of) in worse conditions and with way less financial support. And have you thought about how impressive Koenigsegg's engineering is given their financial situation compared to Bugatti's? Furthermore, you say that exclusivity is good for hypercars, but Koenigsegg is too exclusive? What does pedigree and exclusivity even have to do with finding out which company is the best? Honestly Donut, if you're listening, it's nice of you to bring us daily content, but at least make it make sense, let someone else do the research and put someone less biased there instead of this guy. Facts should always be compared in context to make unless it's a strict scientific experiment.

Starts with a K, a little hard for an American to spell, Christian Von Koenigsegg is truly a visionary, his small car company has consistently stayed at the top of the Hyper car industry, keeping VOLKSWAGEN auto group, Mercedes, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, and many others constantly on their toes performance wise, with a fraction of the cash flow, while building virtually EVERY part of the car in-house, minus the tires and wipers, usually, with mindblowing innovations created with help from other smart people he wasvable o bring together that will eventually trickle down to all automobile manufacturing, benefiting all of us. I'll probably never see either of these cars in person (fingers crossed, realizing that and still wanting to know everything about them speaks volumes i think, and Bugatti definitely commands respect, the shock and awe of the quad turbo V16 is quite the legacy, plus the speed record (for now) is pretty special, but if i had the choice, I'd take any Koenigsegg ever made before a Bugatti

So Koenigsegg wasn t duking it out with Bugatti for too speed. They ve been making smart, ahead of their time, cars made for track use but also for the road and also quite green too lol. A One: 1 has better mileage then a Honda Fit. Koenigsegg hasn t made machines and then testing nearly all of them to see their top speeds. They did this to my knowledge definitely with the Agera RS and yet to do it with the Jesko Absolut. Bugatti has been aiming for fastest car and doing speed runs specifically after that, since I ve known of the company from a child. A lot of Koenigsegg stop speeds are theoretical since they don t make their cars for top speed specially and didn t do it very often for a lot of their models ( again, to my knowledge, until the RS and I think one other model before. Point is. Koenigsegg is smarter and faster and lighter XD

Hey Donut Media im very sorry for the negative comments in this video but you guys really need to be fair because while Bugatti is a very old and polished company it wasn't really known around the world until the veyron came out so for you guys saying that Koenigsegg is new and not much known so u give a very low points remind you that Bugatti wasn't much known also until the same time Koenigsegg blew up in popularity edit: i think that although bugatti deserves more points than Koenigsegg because its older and some history and shit you dont have to give a very low point in Koenigsegg 3 points is what Koenigsegg deserves at that pedigree category since both company just got famous recently

You forgot the Koenigsegg Regera. Again a great video. Sorry to see, that you forgot a lot of stuff. It's absolutely not only top speed. They compete hard on the 0-300-0 times. I know it easily becomes a bit nerdy, Koenigsegg have developed stuff, that no other company have. Freevalve technology, the unique gearbox in the Regera and so on. For me, it's not really important which scores the highest on your score, cars in this segment needs to provide feelings. Feelings are almost impossible to put in a score card. For me it's the cars from my neighboring country, Sweden that makes my heart jump. Koenigsegg for the win

Koenigsegg is an engineering marvel and deserves +5 points only for the camless technology they have developed, with power n efficiency figures enough astounding to still keep ICE running for a while, Bugatti now and for the foreseeable future is basically a VW ego stunt buy an old brand, add unnecessary and unutilised power and weight for show offs. The Jesko project is actually capable of going way beyond what Bugatti can ever go and that too efficiently. The limiter here is not the technology but is the conscious of the koenigsegg people and that's why they have rested the tools for top speed runs.

I don t agree. KOENIGSEGG hasn t been a company for so long. They haven t been able to develop so much technology as Bugatti has and still they are on the same level of Bugatti or not even on better than Bugatti. To see they develop that fast it what makes such a great company. I think that Koenigsegg is a better company. They have crashed some cars but Bugatti have to. Just that they don t shows that in the video. They have crashed cars back in the day when they also was a new company. Koenigsegg is just a better company.

Veyron was the first Hyper Car has this dude forgotten about the Porsche 959. Like. Uber Rare, technology of the future, Bill Gates made it legal in US. Second; as everyone else has said, they re missing a lot of models. Koenigsegg is the king of hyper cars. Bugatti compensates those that desire speed and the pinnacle of luxury. Koenigsegg compensates the true enthusiast. Pagani and Koenigsegg are the OG s of the Hyper World. Bugatti s just kinda not it, too well known and common of a hyper car compared to K & P.

I remember hearing that Richard Hammond saying that the Mclaren P1 is gone around the nurburgring in about under 7 minutes but don't know what the actual time it is so they scrunch up and thrown into the bin without knowing to everyone and about 6 years later, Brandon revealed an actual nurburgring time for mclaren p1; 6 minutes 41 seconds? How did he know that? where did that number came from at this time? Why didn't mclaren said about the lap times for the mclaren p1 in the first place then?

- Literally 90% of all cars have less drag than an F1 car. (You should watch science garage) - Also what about Regera? (quickest 0-400) - The point system is just based on your opinion. - You're contradicting yourself. - Should have included kph - First dislike to Donut I'm so disappointed - Koenigsegg is simply better, Bugatti uses the same W16 for years now with no innovation, it weighs like a freaking tank, and in my opinion, it is not even a hypercar, more like a poser car
