VERY cool! You came up with some great comparisons here. Old cars are absolutely cool--my Dad had 4 Mustangs while I was growing up and one was a 1970 Boss 302! --but older cars were also downright cantankerous. I am talking mechanically, reliability-wise, and from a QA/QC perspective compared to most production cars now. I've had some cars that were truly fun to drive, most notably a 1975 Datsun 280Z and a 1999 Saab 93. Both had manuals and were pure fun to drive. At one point in 2016, I inherited my wife's old 2006 Infinity FX35. and. WOW! Fast, handled awesomely, and still very fun to drive with the added benefits of awesome traction and a surprising amount of horsepower. It looked like a grocery-getter but was amazing. More and more cars now are amazing. I grew up in the 60s, 70s, and 80s and American companies mostly did not know how to make a car with either a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. They were dogs and quality really suffered during some of those years. Cars now are really much better and have more all-around good characteristics. Super job!

As a shop that works on TONS of Classics, it's really really annoying and frustrating when people compare Old School Performance to New School performance. Yes, over 40-50 years there has been a LOT of engineering upgrades that have brought bigger and bigger output from smaller and smaller motors. Cam/Timing control alone, plus the higher flowing aluminum heads which were almost unheard of in the 60s, 70s make a MASSIVE difference. Also, there's so much more character and experience involved in driving a classic Iconic Sports Car or muscle car, even classic trucks and vans. You're INVOLVED in the experience and feel it in your hands feet and butt. Unfortunately with a lot of the newer rides whether or not they are sports cars or daily drivers, you feel more like you're going along for a ride versus driving the car. Ok rant over. Thanks again for another video guys keep up the great work!

0to60 times first off, you have to accept a modern car has twice the gears of most muscle cars so naturally would accelerate faster. But the biggest difference in cars in the last 50 years is tires. Sure a stock 60s big block corvette will do about 5 to 6 sec 0 to 60 time but thats because it would just destroy the skinny bias plys tires it came with. Slap on some slicks or a modern day tire, your video would be more realistic. modern cars can be impressive but you can make 200 horsepower faster than 450 if the car with 200 horsepower has 8 gears and the one with 450 has 3

Don't forget the most powerful 3cyl of all, the one used by Gemera which produces 600hp! Granted it is a unique engine developed by Free Valve which is owned by Christian von Koenigsegg. Now if we're go with a regular 3cyl with your regular engine tech, then the turbocharged 1. 6L 3cyl in the new Toyota Yaris GT4 produces around 260hp, which is still a great number. Coupled with 4WD, it's basically a homologated WRC car for the masses.

I drive a 2008 Pontiac torrent(rebadged equinox) and it has taken a beating over the 371, 000 km on it (still dailying it) from launches at almost every light, jumps over train tracks, winter drifting, and offroad adventures it has never failed me and i don t see myself getting rid of it anytime soon. Equinox s don t look like anything fun but if you need a very cheap suv it s a pretty good choice in my opinion. Love these videos donut!

A surprisingly quick truck is a 90's chevy ss pickup I've been working on. Yeah it's not what it was, no 454 in it, and yeah the last owner flipped it destroying the cab and bed. He then took the motor and put in his drag car. But replace the motor with a cheap 350 from a chevy astro and replace the cab and bed with a chevy stepside and you got a hot rod stepside that can keep up with a 2008 Corvette

My first car was a olds ciera with a 3. 1 v6 with 160 hp and 185ft/lbs of torque. My current car a 2018 Honda Accord has a 1. 5 turbo 4 with 192 hp and tq, while averaging 33 mpg and going 0-60 under 7 seconds. I m always amazed how much more power, safety, and MPG today s cars bring with less displacement than their predecessors.

I had a 2000 Nissan Sentra Se 2. 0 5 spd that surprised the living hell out of me, it could burn 2 gears and finally hook in 3rd was a fun Little car always wanted to turbo it and put some good suspension under it, have moved on since then though, But inwould definitely own another one its hard to find a 2. 0 though most are 1. 8l 8(

Let's talk about that Aston Martin DB5 in 6: 24 Although in the movie Goldfinger is the DB5, the fastest car in the world around that time (1959. Some years before the movie) was an Aston Martin DB4 GT (almost the same car, with a top speed of 152mph. How many cars are faster than that faster car in the world nowadays?
