From 1982 to 1987, Buick (yes Buick) used the Grand National to rise from overlooked GM family sedans, to the maker of Americas fastest, most powerful Muscle Car. The 1987 Buick Grand National Experimental (GNX, took the G-body auto to new heights as one of the baddest, blackest automotive triumphs in history. This is everything you need to know, to get up to speed on the Buick Grand National

I was lucky enough to have an 85 hot air T-Type when I 19 yrs old in 1989, when I see a G body Regal I don't think about a Grand National and I'm a big fan of all G body topics and builds, cars shinny black look amazing, but Buicks GN with that grill, headlights with blacked out shroud, turn indicators, taillights on that color on that car is spontaneous magic that will never happen again, the car has no bad angle or profile, just pure uncut beauty

You do the best cars Did you ever watch the movie about the guy? His son died in his car. so he wanted to make a safer car. Buick was his name. anyways. My grandpa had a gnx. he used to race it. He one once. He ended up selling it when he got old. I loved it. It had the best lay outs. It was ahead of its time. the gnx was the best car they ever made after the chevelle.

Now that everything has a turbo, it just wouldn't be special anymore, you can literally get just about any car or truck with a turbo engine option. I'm just glad i was hip to them before all you losers caught on, cause the only thing cooler than a GN, is owning one for 2500 bucks with 30k original miles. :)

Do one on the Monte Carlo SS or the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner and the difference between the fury, sport Fury, Satellite, the Road Runner (w/ a Hemi and foot print gas pedal) and the Super Bird I think they were all the same platform but not sure that's why I need an Up 2 Speed on these cars.

The Corvette has nothing to do with the death of the Grand National. The Regals last production year as a RWD G body was 1987. The GNX was produced by ASC/McLaren. Same developmental group, different production group. Your hometown of Louisville used Grand Nationals as unmarked patrol cars.

Guys with small egos drive flashy cars and jacked up trucks. I drive a stock S10 Blazer. Never had any complaints. A few compliments though. Actually got a nickname the other day from a chick. She called me shooter because I got it on face from across the room. #camouflagepimp

I wonder how many people have any clue how the Buick turbo V-6 came about in the late 1970's? I was part of the group that created the concept of the turbo Buick V-6 at GM Buick Flint Engineering in the 1970's and have a lot of documentation of the group and the development of the turbo engine
