here in kansas its most definitely a modern supportive piece of collection to classics in the garage, most people here opt for the more budget friendly muscle cars or budget available sports cars. the concern with your context applies to luxury automakers, who create a more appealing market to younger buyers, who in relative really appreciates the idea porsche has to offer without the cost of a supercar, or just design wise because most expendable spenders really want the sporty look without complimenting a la vida loca lifestyle found in track culture. although i've yet to see an older corvette as a competitor to a newer miata, 86, or even a muscle car from the same make. I feel the corvette has goals, and is still readily a concept to those with the power.

Long hood short deck > that was/is/and should be. the way to go with the Vette. >)This design is. awkward. >. proportions are. backbreaking. >). its ugly. and U can make a handsome mid-engine sportsler > 458 Italia, Ford GT, 1-gen Audi R8 )Its got a proper engine, though (not some funny eco-boost-blown V6 like Ford ) > and I like what theyre gonna do with it > SuperChargers. etc. >). ,. but still It doesnt look as hot as Ford GT. Theres/was a slight chance that Dodge will bring back some kind of Hellcat Viper as a Corvette rival. but now. ?. Viper > classical Long hood short deck > not Vette anymore.

Donut, no really, no no jokes, ain't kitting, yes I'm serious, tell me how do you feel as an American English/Irish (your DNA) within that range for being a pure US boy, like the owner of Chevy, how do you feel when you are in a country so rich in a country so powerful and a country who is so happy for their 2020 Chevy(corvette) rear-mid engine layout when there are so many other 'real sports cars' out there with that same engine layout - why are you so proud? If the US was a poor country then yes, being proud for you C8 would make sense, but that's not the case here. Donut, explain.

They waited so long because (in general) American car manufacturers have played their customers as inbreed fools. Why innovate like the rest of the automotive world? When all they have to do is make more crap that the people clamor for. Back in the day, all the companies had to do was preach, be patriotic and Buy American Like being patriotic circumvented the fact the product you were buying was subordinate to the rest. American car manufacturers for decades sat on their hands and refused to innovate. I stopped buying American in the 90's and I have been better for it.

America has never made a car to be a all out sport's car with out borrowing from actual European sports car manufacturers, they insist still the Dodge Viper is a sport's car yet it's a dolled up muscle car same as the Chevrolet Corvette, American people start moaning yet you can't hide the fact you are obsessed with the V8 engine and chassis that quite frankly are built for farming equipment or tank's not sporty handling.

lol the new corvette absolutely smashed the new supra. 500hp, amazing interior, mind blowing looks, and much much more just for a few bucks more than the supra but i guess the supra is from toyota so reliability can be a concern for some people buying the corvette, but i think its reliable enough, chevy did an amazing job on this thing, its absolutely amazing. only costs 55ki hope i can get one after i graduate.

C7 had incredible performance but is front-engine layout held it back Really? I don't think so, is more about dedication than physics, ask the engineers at Porsche that are being doing one of the fastest sports car on earth with the engine hanging from the ass, basically a crane on wheels. Don't come with that excuse. I don't hate the new corvette, but is more trend than anything else.

So I really like the new C8, obviously. I think it will have the same effect the GTR did back in 2007: sending the big boy exotics back to the drawing board by making them all look foolish at half the cost. But beyond that I'm just really stoked for Chevy & GM, showing that the US CAN produce a true European style sports car. Hopefully the racing version kicks some serious butt

Let's get real The true reason Chevy was so challenged is because that 6. 2 V8 makes heat and lots of it. Only now with modern engineering can a huge mid mounted engine be cooled reliably even for racing. Hell even front mounted 'Vettes had serious cooling problems road racing. Because this platform has to be boost ready not just N/A. So there's that. Prove me wrong.
