In europe the previous owner of the E39 is always Murat, Albin, Mustafa, Hakan, Afrim, Dragan, Erol, Mirko, Vladko, Cihad or some generic German who's friends only consists of balkan or slavic people

Never ridden in or drove one but I've heard the same from other enthusiast. Still think I'd like the e90 m3/e60 m5 platform better though. I'm sure the e39 handles a lot better than the e60 m5

Can confirm E39 cup holders are terrible. My 1997 540 under minimal acceleration would tip any cups/drinks all over the interior. A waste of time. Otherwise I loved that car.
