I love the WK, we had two in my house back then. A 2007 Laredo 4x4 with the older 4. 7L V8 before the facelift and the 2009 Limited 2WD with the newer and more powerful 4. 7L V8 (all WK's built in Venezuela were Laredo 4x4 and Limited 2WD/4x4 and the only engine available was the 4. 7L. We also had a 2010 Ford Explorer Limited 4. 6L 4x4 and I think the interior of the Explorer was crappier with even more cheap hard plastic, but the ride quality was better.

My take about the build quality of the WK: I cant say much about the WK SRT8, but my mother has a 2008 ('05 model year) WK (WH) 3. 0 CRD with about 155. 000 miles on it. And it has been bulletproof. No electrical issues, no engine issues, no transmission issues, not even any cosmetic issues or costly wear & tear. I hate that thing because it gets around 19mpg and is basically a slow boat, but it has been unbelievably reliable so far.

Automakers are still taking people for fools nowadays when back in the day they use to charge for crappy use of infotainment systems and other accessories. And they got funded the money but cheaped out anyway. And now they charge more with technology advancing but guest what they charge you more for waut they get in abundance.

Plus the special steering knuckles to give it negative camber up front
And that exhaust meant no spare tire
Also the differential tire sizes front and rear
And Damiler cheapened the WK, not Chrysler

I remember driving this thing in Forza Motorsport 3, I saw it as an off-road car, since it was one of the few SUVs in the game, so I d embrace that by constantly driving it on grass runoff areas lmao

These are super cool, there is one for sale near me for like 23k, I debated it but I dunno if I want to spend 20k on a jeep with that shit plastic interior and 75k miles on it.
