Lucid Air review! The Lucid Air is a fully electric Tesla rivaling sedan - and it's an impressive one. Today I'm reviewing a Lucid Air and I'll show you all the quirks and features of this new electric car. I'm also going to show you all the quirks and features of the Lucid Air, and I'll drive the Lucid Air and I'll review the Lucid Air driving experience

Doug how are you giving cars which have no dealership/service center network, no track record etc a 7 for Quality. How do you give a 6 for value. Do you think used car buyers who tend to be more conservative in their decisions, are more risk averse etc. are going to buy Lucid Air's on the used market at the same prices they would Porsches and Tesla's. I feel like you are not factoring that in when awarding these Doug Scores to some of these new automakers. Furthermore, we don't know if these companies will even be solvent in 5-10 years. Sure on paper they are worth billions, but both Lucid and Rivian are burning billions a year on cash burn. The market is insane, but are underwriters for their next stock sale that insane? If these companies don't remain solvent, part shortages could crush their future values, reducing them to values of 1? I don't know, I just feel like this should factor in more?

Every time I see windshields that big, I think about how much it's going to cost to replace it from the inevitable crack. My regular old Acura windshield was 1100 to replace this year, with glass + install + camera calibration.

It's a cool car for sure. I hope it's able to pose some EV competition to Tesla in the long-run. Tesla has the massive numbers; however, so calling it a rival of Tesla at this point in time is a bit of a misnomer imo

What does it cost to replace the windshield? Definitely very expensive in insurance.
I find a heads up display for the playlist or radio station scrolling like with BMW is much better and more intuitive

Lol finally.
Getting sick of Tesla owners thinking they have a luxury car. Fast, but mid tier at best. Like a 2010 Audi.
BUT THIS, this is an actual luxury EV! First of it's kind!

This car is a bit abhorrent. It looks tacky and cheap. The paint, the wheels, the plastic looking chrome. Maybe it has the guts and good mileage or performance. It looks very tacky

I can't imagine a greater pain than using a touch screen to turn your windshield wipers on. Digitalizing everything in the cars is going too far.

With a base price of 77K, If these manufacturers really care about climate change, you d figure they would make these more affordable to the masses.

Im disappointed in that interior like in every electric car.
The styling is just mad awful.
Hopefully the new Cadillac Lyriq will be better.
