SIGN UP FOR TURO The Maserati Levante is a new SUV from Maserati -- and it's the end of Maserati as we know it. Today I'm reviewing the Levante to explain why, and to show you all the ins and outs of the Maserati Levante

Yea, Maserati definitely shit the bed with what they were trying to accomplish as a car-maker by trying to compete with Benz and BMW by over-saturating the market with a pricey yet sub-par technology SUV and sport sedan (ghibli, without any decent incentives to dealers. 2019 saw major upgrades to tech and operator ergonomics, but a little too little too late. It is the best time ever to buy/lease either one, especially lease due to the resale value dropping like a homesick bowling ball; get in and get out, leasing is the best option especially with BMW X5 and the new 2020 GLE being as expensive as they are per month. In fact, all the major exotics like Aston, Rolls, Bentley, and lambo have excellent lease programs so owners can enjoy while not being subjected to huge deprecation losses. Right now you can lease a loaded Levante for under a grand a month with very little down, including tax, which is about what a 4 cylinder turbo Loaded GLE will lease.

Doug. Something you may not have considered. Many buyers (like myself) don't really care about a lot of the newer techno gizmo's that the base model does not include. What we appreciate about this SUV is that it's super comfortable, sounds great and handles great and is not one of the sea of boring SUV's out on the road. Many buyers will wait until this vehicle starts to depreciate before we buy it and the Maserati name plate always helps that depreciation curve work a heck of a lot faster as nothing is more scary to a used car buyer than a used Italian car. You are right that new it's not a great value but you don't always have to buy them new. Personally I'm glad to see Maserati in the SUV space. Everybody else is there already. It's time.

All these comments about how trash it looks and bad it is and its not worth the money I disagree I own one bought it used only had 3000 miles on it and it has lost 20% of its value already and the spec is insane and it looks sooo good you could mix up the car if you compare it to the spec on the video thats how different it is and the interior is very high quality carbon fiber, leather, steel etc the wheels are a lot bigger the wheels in the review are very tiny a bad looking my point is you cant compare the car in the review with what you can actually get if you spend a little more the only trick is is to buy it slightly used and it will be wirth every penny also no reliability issuesyet

Actually, when you think about it the two cupholders at the bottom of an enormously deep center console make no sense at all. If you take advantage of the capacity of the console, you'll never be able to use them. It would have been far more thoughtful and useful to provide a drink holder tray that rests inset of the console opening which would allow you to use it for storage AND use it to hold drinks when the need arises.

Not surprised theres a Maserati dealership in Appleton. I see tons of Teslas, a couple Lamborghinis, Jags, and other luxury brands being driven around all the time, which I guess is weird to non-Appleton/Green Bay residents since it is Appleton and if you drive 10 minutes north or west its rural-ish farmland and small towns lol

12: 10 lol Doug got a point about how similar the Levante and the QX50 look from the rear - theyre almost identical and any car naive individuals would not be able to tell the differences and think they are the same car lol literally - and sad part is the QX50 has waaaaay nicer rims than the Levante

That is the same on a jeep grand Cherokee we saw and a Dodge Durango. It seems like its the exact same system, look at the similarities in the screen interface. Especially the controls menu which is the same stuff in the jeep grand Cherokee and the Dodge Durango looks pretty much exactly the same

I want to see a car built by Doug: ) I am an automotive photographer and I have a chance to drive most exotic cars. I often disagree with Doug. The Quattroporte yes I agree. Ghibli not so much. Levante I love it interior wise and the engine, even the trans. However exterior looks like a Hyundai.

The importance should be lower. What is this significance? The brand carries that, but this car? I cant agree with that 6. Idk what you consider during this particular segment, but what is important at all? The brand, not the car. Maybe the driving experience of a crossover. Idk bro

Lmfao I'm from couer d'Alene Idaho. I think the store you mentioned sells gm cars along with Maserati I don't think there's a dedicated store. I've seen 1 on the road and then saw it again a week later for sale. It was the SUV.
