Explanation for a few of the quirky features: The baggage floor with multiple positions is only there to prevent car magazines whining about having a flat floor when the seats are folded. Most people will probably put it in the lowest position and forget about it. Spare tyres are an option in countries that tax on weight, so you might get a filler foam kit and a hidden storage container instead. French cars in general have small engines due to their road tax regulations. The 1. 6 you have driven is one of the higher spec engines available. This one comes with a 1. 2 litre in the most popular trim. Seat belt indicator lights for the rear seats are a requirement, as omitting that feature will lead to a lower safety rating.

In my country there used to be a Peugeot dealership but it just closed recently. I saw this car there last year I think and it was very nice. Problem is it's just way too expensive, about 50% more than the top level trim of cars like the CX-5 or CR-V. Yes it's nice but at that price it's just not worth it and you can get something bigger, like a Honda Odyssey or a Ford Explorer. Yeah the Explorer is common but it's a lot more car for the money over this Peugeot. Plus it's hard to pry buyers away from Toyota and Honda because people see them as more reliable and parts are easy to source, while Peugeot can't quite match that perception.

You forgot some special features: - You can fill it with gasoline or red wine. - It does not work neither on Sundays and 30 days per year. - If you put more than 2 suitcases in the trunk it goes into strike mode and does not work. - As soon as you enter the seats lick your face ever so slightly. - When you drive over 60mph baguette-spoilers come out. You can eat them. - It yells at you in gridlocks. - The horn sound is oh la la.

I love that cruise control feature. Youll never get a speeding ticket in this car because there are many speed traps where they change randomly especially when you drive to a new city and local money hungry cops set up speed traps for anybody driving thru town. Especially in Georgia and Alabama. Lol

Doug, your British pronounciation was indeed a very correct French pronounciation. So if you can do it correctly, why insist on doing it ridiculously? By the way, I'm French Canadian, better known as Dr. Forest Ph. D, professor of French Literature.

Don't know about mexican version, but Limit option on my car means that you set the max speed and car won't go faster, it's not cruise control cause you still have to press the pedal, but it won't go faster than limit you put.

Yay I'm driving an older 3008 model. You missed the huge storage compartment in the middle console, the top window? My one has a two-part trunk door that transforms into a loading floor. It also has a HUD display. Love the car

From Ph here, own a Peugeot 5008 mpv. Some of the features from the old models are still present on the new models, they removed the head up display though. Interesting car with an eye for details on the interiors+exteriors.
