I always thought KIA was leading car manufacturing into the future. Until, that is, we bought a brand new one from the KIA main dealer in Finland. I don't think the main dealer liked the make at all. Well, they certainly didn't like ours. They crashed it after it went back to them for warranty rectification to the paintwork on the rear bumper, never reassembled it correctly and when it went back to be repaired because they had damaged the front end, never reassembled that correctly either. A few months later the original paint fault had returned and though we returned the car, they were apathetic about the whole thing. Shame really because I really do like the sportswagon and would have bought the latest model, particularly the proceed, without hesitation. The Telluride, however, is big and ugly. I really don't see a need for such big vehicles on our already congested roads. NO KIA HERE. KIA is now a thing of the past to us and we're quite happy with our 2018 Impreza hatchback even though I much prefer a manual.

It's absolutely crazy how far cars have come. A 7. 3 second 0-60 gets you a 1 for acceleration. That's faster than an early 80's Ferrari 308. Faster than early BMW Z3's. Faster than a Merak. Hell, it's faster than base model Porche Cayennes up until 2012 or so. Obviously none of these are fast cars but they're all expensive shouty sporty things and for a giant lumbering dadmobile to perform like that. the numbers are shit, but it's still IMPRESSIVELY shit.

Great review Doug My only request for future reviews is to give an opinion of the sound quality of the stereo system. Since you review so many cars, I feel this is an important addition to the infotainment portion as user interface is one aspect, but sound quality can vary greatly between brands (how is the bass, instrument sound, detail, loudness, etc. Just an idea. Thanks again for a great review

Watched your video on Palisade first, then this. Only thing I see Isabel these new vehicles are built to release the driver of his/her #1 responsibility: driving the vehicle at full attention. Lane change cameras and lights, reminding signals that someone is in the vehicle with you. etc. Its terrible, for future generations will not learn responsibility. Glad to still drive a 98 Jeep.

Doug was completely wrong about this vehicle. He predicted the cool factor would drop from a 2 to a 1. Instead this SUV is the hottest SUV on the market. You cant find the top of the line models on any dealers lots and if you order one you are going to pay full list price or even more. Doug needs to review the top of the line model and completely revise his assessment of this vehicle.

We're in the market for a new 7-8 seater. Love these, and I have test driven the Telluride and Palisade. The only thing I'd like to see is better engine performance with better fuel economy. Volvo and Subaru have done it better engine wise. I'd like to see a 4 cylinder turbo. That option would do it for me. Otherwise everything else in the Telluride is perfect for me.

Those lights, grill, and that idiotic name spelled with ENORMOUS letters all across it's face. So obviously made for American market. This could've been rebadged as Chevy, Cadillac, or Ford and nobody would know the difference. Also, in your list of cars named after places you have hideous Subaru Tribeca but not Alfa Romeo Montreal. Indeed, you're that type of guy: D

Love your videos. Very detailed and informational. Thank you. I do have one recommendation to consider if you don't mind. lol. Your Playlists, for me, would be better if they were listed by make. BMW, Cadillac, etc. I am watching your videos on Kia and i wanna go to the K900 but I have to search for it. Thanks for reading brother

Only 2 quirks I had during this feature is. A) Volume knob, is placed great. I doubt very few if anyone will mix them up. B) Door locks are clean and won't ever be a issue since they will automatically lock once you take off. I think you were just being a bit nit picky and I'm sure by now you changed your mind. Thanks Doug

That welcome sound would be the first thing I'd disable. But really it seems like a really nice SUV, Kia definitely is doing things right with their designs I'm quite impressed. chevyGMChondaToyota basically produce the most boring SUV's on earth. Ford does a little bit better. The new explorer looks pretty decent.
