Smart Crossblade review! The Smart Crossblade is truly insane - one of the most bizarre modern cars in existence. Today I'm reviewing the Smart Crossblade, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of this weird car. I'm also going to drive the Smart Crossblade, and I'll show you what it's like behind the wheel of this crazy thing.

I used to drive the same generation of Smart as a fleet vehicle for work years ago. Few mysteries I can solve. The blank robot panel on the top of the center stack was used for a climate vent in the middle, and vent controls on the two blanks on each side. The two robot eyes were spacers for an optional gauge pack which included a tachometer and clock. Interestingly, the keyfob on the car I drove had a third button for the back glass, in addition to the two lock and unlock buttons. The one I drove was a 800cc turbodiesel, and can confirm that anything over 110km/h was terrifying. And slow.

Sorry Doug. those cars here in Italy are called Spiaggina (do not try to say this name it is complicated ever for us ) translate in nice small beach They were cars that rich families used as a second car to go to the spiaggia/beach. You also find other cars made in that famous way the 500 of the fiat. In reality they are also sold a lot especially in the city of Rome where parking is a nightmare. they sell them because they are parked wide and not long in Rome they are very popular The owners did Da Roma a Fregene like LA to Marina del Rey.

That robot looking thing on the dash is mostly blank pieces that would be normally filled on the regular smart car. My family used to have a 2006 smart and the two eyes are for the tachometer and clock, the ears) are for additional thermostat controls and the mouth is where a single central vent would be located.

Lol youre supposed to wear eye protection when u dont have a windshield or if the windshield doesn't protect ur face no matter how fast youre going. It's actually illegal in most states to drive like that.

A good pair of sunglasses are good up to about 160 as long as you don t turn your head too much. Those bigger oakleys from the last 10 years or so have been the best for riding without a helmet.

It's only a matter of time before the Crossblade comes back as crossover, following the tradition established by the the Mustang, Eclipse, Venza, Outback, and other abominations to their namesakes.

The Doug score indicates Doug reviewed a meter maid car. I wonder if Doug will shed any light on whether it s the car or the occupation that compels these people to be assassins of joy.

Had this video queued up and thought Doug said crosswave. I was confused because that is a vacuum/mop. After watching the video, crosswave is less confusing than crossblade.

If any car NEEDED a manual with a stick, this is it. With a 5-spd, this car would be a must-buy for car nuts who live in smaller communities that are warm and sunny year round.

Well if you want other vehicle with the same open experience feeling just get an original Willys Jeep and fold the windshield. No roll-bar tho you die like a real men!
