I have 2 merc, a beemer, and 2 toyotas. I wanted to feel those German cars. Handling wise, they are awesome. Reliability wise, they are nightmares. I have done nothing to my 2 toyotas in years except a change to the O2 sensors. The merc and beemer, Id rather not say it lmao. Next, I am gonna go back to toyotas, Lexus that is. Hopefully the handling is much better than the toyotas. Toyota handling isnt too bad for a family car but if you are a car enthusiast like me, its nothing to shout about. But the reliability, is no 1. Your choice. I have experienced it myself. Lexus is next lol. Much less headaches with the mechanic.

Did you know that Lexus LC is the worst selling coupe in 2018? Total number sold 1900 units. Compare that to the BMW 6 series, in 2018 it sold a total of 11, 000 units. I dont know, other than reliability, lexus doesnt have much going for it. Why do you think Toyota turned to BMW in making the new Supra, the new Supra isnt even Toyota, its a BMW Z4 chassis with idential interior made by BMW. Anyway, I test drove a low mileage used IS250 and a low mileage used BMW 428i, and hands down Id pick the BMW 428i every time. Lexus does hold their value, but that may not be an advantage when youre buying a used car.

All cars are now festooned with unreliable electronics. My boss has a Lexusand it has been in the shop plenty of times. But, I will say this. The problems are NOT the type that let you sit along side the road like what I see in non Japanese cars. Where I live and in my experience, Lexuscars are no more reliable overall then an Infiniti, or Acura, Honda, Toyota or Nissan. All those companies have their ultra reliable models and their dogs. Myself, I just plain prefer Japanese cars. Id be just as happy with aLexus as I am with my Infiniti Q60S. The Japanese just build better cars then the rest.

every since I was 17 in 1962, i hated Toyotas, was it because it was Japanese or that my future brother in laws dad was a Toyota dealer, flip a coin. I hated them more when they entered NASCAR. After watching Scotty, he has changed my mind, and todays show off your ride, I want a Lexus, my next four wheels will be hauling one. I will have to get my Ford wife to come around. We always buy new, that is going to change 2, How many times have we used a new carr warranty? Never, so whee did those dollars go?

Not sure how this review got it so wrong in terms of describing the engine. From when IS250 is 4 cylinder? IS200t maybe. IS250 has 4GR-FSE (same as mk2, then engine is a bit dated in 2014, issues with DI-only carbon build-up, but it is unmistakably smooth. IS350 with 2GR-FSE and both Port and DI injection is definitely better option and RWD is much more fun to drive than AWD, especially when it comes to IS250. In short it seems the guy doesnt really know what he is talking about.

I can find some sense in this, but only for the Americas; these theories really dont apply that well to the situation in Europe. Also, and this is the personal preference, I really cant find a gear lever thats more refined and well thought-out than the one you find in Mercedes cars. It may seem like a small detail, but its part of the whole luxurious experience, which you aim to have if you buy one of these in the first place.

This guy is clueless, he doesnt even know what engine his car has. Also i dont want my ICE car to sound like an electric. That was the biggest disappointment when I sold my BMW 335i and got an is350 about 6 months ago. The Lexus is definately more reliable, but I have had issues and its way harder to find parts (factory or aftermarket) as well as diy guides for the lexus.

First of all bmws, Audis, and a Mercedes are not reliable wtf. Very expensive to maintain but very nice cars. I would much rather have a Lexus IS F, RC F, or a Lexus is350. dont get me wrong those foreign cars are beautiful yeah yeah. Better watch out for the air ride suspension on them, they will cost you a pretty penny for repairs: /

Ill never own a BMW again, lease only. I owned a 2011 BMW 550i with the notorious N63 engine, if you know, you know. I put 30K miles on the car in two years, I cant count know how many times I went to the dealer during that time span; thank goodness I had extended warranty. I currently lease a BMW M240i, what a car, but Ill never own it
