Back in the day I had an 82 F-250 4X4. It was setup for snowplowing with huge leaf springs in the front and rear, had something like 4: 13 gears, and made a whopping 10 MPG on a straight flat road with no wind. It was the roughest riding truck I was ever in, but would go anywhere. A friend asked me for a ride to work. He crawled up in it with a big cup of coffee. Needless to say he didnt have any coffee left in his cup after a few blocks, it was all over him. He did ask for rides after that, but never again with coffee.

There was a truck club in the town I grew up in. They called themselves the Highriders or something like that. They all had lifted trucks. One guy had a Nissan pickup that was lifted way too high. He was going down main street and saw a buddy of his at the pizza place so he made a sharp turn at the last second to make the driveway and gravity got him. The truck laid over on its side right in the middle of main street. Truck was too narrow to carry that high center of gravity.

thats awesome and very similar to my truck. I sold my 2010 47, 000 f150 harley davidson and built up a 7000 dollar 2006 f150 similar to this. with a RAPTOR bodykit, bedfloor paintjob, new performance tranny to replace blown stock, and 5 new 35 tires i probly spent another 7000 but at least now i dont cringe when off roading, hunting, quadding and scratch the paint or run over logs, rocks etc. and lately its become a daily driver which is a ok except mileage is terrible.

Because they are trying to compensate for their inadequacy as a man, you know like tatoos, nose rings those kind of things insecure people do, maybe some is really little? Exception for the guys that work in extreme conditions and they have to get them up above the water and get some tires on them for pulling to get to their work site. Truly not needed for the average dipsticks out there.

There are 3 reason-#1-most common, too look cool. #2- offroading, to fit larger tires with room to flex. Wich is my case. #3 too support extra weight expected too compress the stock suspension such as a utility truck. Wich is usually compensated with airbags and heavier rated springs and shocks rather than an actual lift kit. Great show scotty allways very enthusiastic And knowledgeable

I had a couple trucks that i lifted to go in the wood with friends all weekends and at a point i started doing rockcrawling and stop going into mud at all. I would never lift a truck just to drive on the road. I really hate lifted fullsize or jeeps pavement queens. If you lift it use it or you will only look like you want to compensate for something you dont have.

Scotty the reason i lifted my truck is because i use it as a work truck i need the extra ground Clearance im not a showoff i still have 33s stock size its just what i need And with bilstine 5100 adjustable shocks it drives great. Cheap lifts suck. I know from experience I know the best combination for a good lift and a smooth great handeling truck.

As far as I am concerned unless your work requires you to have a big jacked up truck or SUV, you should not be allowed to have one. A lifted truck rear ended an ex-gfs car and put her in a coma. If the vehicle had been of legal height then the wreck would have been way less. Now she must use a cane for the rest of her life.

It looks like the trucks used commercially in the field. It has an amber light on top. And if the field is the bush, I can definitely understand the need to raise it, having experienced such conditions firsthand with someone elses truck. Brilliant idea with the bed liner paint job I need to remember that one.
