This Product Will Destroy Your Cars AC System Jaekun Yoo: Im a AC & Refrigeration technician. If you make deep vacuum under 350 micron or at least 1, 000 micron, the sealer doesnt harm at all. We use many sealant on building AC & commercial refrigeration and get good results with the first treatment or do one more time. The sealant reacts & forms bonding with air when it leaks out to the ambient air. It cant work with moving parts like compressor shaft. The sealant works good with small leak which you cant locate the leaking area with dye or something but still leaking. So any system with air by poor vacuuming gets bonding form inside system first not outside, the system gets worse. If you dont have a vacuum gauge, do not get confident with 1 hour vacuuming or longer time. You cant see the difference or movement of the needle with 12, 000 or 20, 000 micron and 150 micron on the manifold gauge set. 2 stage vacuum pumps get deep, single stage ones not. If the system leaks severely not to reach 1, 000 micron, you need to trace the leaking area with dye or something and repair first, deep vacuuming next, charge refrigerant only fully. Wait & see the leaking. It can reach deep vacuum with small leak but it starts leaking in slowly without vacuuming. So fill the refrigerant at least 10psi right after vacuuming. If a system leaks not to work(cool) enough after 1 week with full charge, it leaks very much but sealant will work. With 1 day or so leaking, locate the place and repair, charge refrigerant only fully. Wait & see the leaking. If it leaks later, you dont need to vacuum any more with positive pressure (over 1psi) of low side on AC running. Make sure the gauge accuracy. Save livesIn the US of America the animal shelters kill over 3 million dogs each year, 2 years of subprime mortgage crisis over 2 millions. They dont say kill, but say make them sleep. They cant hold all animals with their facilities. Dont trust your kids. They ask to adopt animals with I take care of them. but they cant &/or dont want to later. Be responsible

Great video as always, I didnt want to comment on the Subaru though. The newer Subarus all have CVT transmissions when you get the automatic. But they do step shift like a regular automatic in certain circumstances. So its possible that it was feeling like it was slipping but it was just because it was a CVT. Its one of the things I dont really like about the new Subarus. Ive heard the transmissions are actually drive really good them for a CVT. I had some older Subarus with the 5-speed automatic and quite frankly those transmissions didnt shift that great either. Never had any maintenance problems or repairs, but they just seem like they hunted gears and never really knew what the hell they were doing. Compared to the same generation Mazda and that thing almost read your mind, and pick the gear you would have picked if it had been a manual transmission. Was a really awesome automatic.

WARNING: Just this week I purchased Radiator Stop Leak as my car was loosing about 1 litre of coolant every 500km. Where the top tank of the radiator crimps on to the core there was a bit of seeping not a big deal. I read this info on the Rislone site saying it is guaranteed not to block your radiator so I thought I would try it. Well the day after putting in the Stop leak my car over heated even though it was full of coolant. When I took it in to the radiator shop to get repaired the technician opened the radiator in front of me and yes all the passages were completely blocked with Stop Leak and no coolant could flow through. This product caused a large amount of inconvenience by leaving stranded on the side of the motorway and left me with a 300 repair bill. Do not buy this product unless you want the same result I got.

Oh dear lord. Most ac recharge canisters that are available at a public level, that include a lubricant, carry a stop leak additive and or seal revitalizer. I feel like this is the same as people flushing their trans, saying that the flush is was wrecked their transmission, although in all reality its because they werent taken care of properly in the first place which was the actual problem. They go through these steps to late and blame it on the product or process even though its usually after they have an issue and are trying to save it to late. Ps, i used to like watching scotty, but have found out there is a huge bias here. Think Im done watching. 5 years strong and these dumb little dont use this or do this itll destroy your vehicle thing is what really killed it for me. You do you, but Im out.

while i dont have a ton of knowledge the stuff i know about EGR valves is that they arent designed to stop pollution when your feet is on the gas pedal, its designed to be operated at either constant RPMs or at idle to reduce usable air charge inside the cylinder with inert (non combustable) gases and thus drop cylinder temperature and the pollution produced (essentially derating the engine because its burning less with less available oxigen) the reason why so many diesels get clogged up EGRs is because at idle/hard acceleration a diesel produces most of its soot and in those instances the valve is either open or just about closing and thus soot gets in the intake or sticks to the valve itself.

Hey Scotty could you do a short video on how to check the motor mounts on your car? To point out what motor mounts look like and why, tips on locating them on the car, how they generally work, and show how a noob home-mechanic like me can check to see if theyre good or not without getting ripped off by a pro? Toyota dealers telling me I need new motor mounts (among other things) when I dont think I do. I dont go to them anymore but back when I did, they already replaced the motor mounts once because they said I needed them. I baby my car so theres no way. Im not getting any symptoms, but I love your video formats and think I could learn something. Either way, thanks for the great channel

I dont think that stop leak in a radiator system is a good idea either. We had a 2013 Ford Interceptor Sedan with a leaky water pump, you know the kind that runs off the timing chain inside the engine. Our mechanic put some stop leak in the car and it stopped leaking, but started running hot. Couldnt drive it more than 3 miles without it getting hot, hot. When they replaced the water pump and timing chain, they pulled out about a 6 grey silicone plug out of one of the hose lines going to the pump, about 3 from the pump. A solid glob of silicone, looked like you had taken a caulk gun and shoved it up the line.

Every car Ive had has a speedo reading that says the car is going faster than a radar check says it is, e. g, the speedo says the car is doing 50 but its actually doing 45. Ive heard this error is deliberate, to reduce people from going so much over the speed limit. The problem is these new electronic systems that automatically set your speed according to the speed signs the camera sees. This means you could end up driving at 45 because the computer thinks youre doing 50. Is there any way to correct the built-in speedometer reading so that it becomes accurate?

Loud sounds on a steering system on the old steering box systems might be the bump stops need grease smeared on them. The more modern rack and pinion steering systems stops steering travel by the rack, but the old systems bottomed out by a nub by thr brake caliper actually was designed to hit the frame on a social little reinforced area and stop the steering wheel travel. If you go over a bump the suspension will move up and down and scrape on the cars frame. Check bump stops if equipped.

Scotty, I have difficulty at times, getting ignition key out of my 2008 4 door, Hyundai sonata. I know I am not alone. 19 other car owners, have the same problem. Hyundai motor America in fountain valley, California refuses to do a recall, even though by law, they hit the maximum. Amount of complaints by Hyundai car owners, over the ignition issue. I even sprayed wd/40 in and around the ignition itself, just in case the issue of it sticking. I dont know what else to do at this point.
