Actually gasoline goes bad by bacterial growth too. There is a product that can prevent it though called the Fitch Fuel Catalyst. It is just some discs of metal in a plastic sleeve that inhibit bacterial growth. You dunk it in your tank or gas can, really good for lawn equipment and things like dirt bikes, ATVs, watercraft, snowmobiles, etc. Anything where the gas sits for many months or even years. Im assuming it works kind of like how certain supplements like zinc and silver can be used to kill bacteria in our bodies. It does seem to make gas last a lot longer in the cans and tanks I have put it in. The great thing about that product is that you only need to use it once, and it lasts forever

I had some guy argue with me that the brakes on my 1993 Mercedes 300D would only last 20, 000 miles, because that was what he was getting. I told him he was a brake rider and that I would get at least 75, 000. I have 40, 000 on them now and they are maybe 1/4 of the way worn, so I was actually way off. 99% of my driving is in the city, too, with lots of hills. I had a Nissan Xterra before and was getting 100, 000 plus on that, too. Most people I follow, I cant tell when they are actually braking, because their brake lights are on all the time. Alao, I have been using Akebono ceramic pads for the past 16 years, though I am only on my second set.

Say youre sitting at a red light and it turns green and there is another traffic light ahead. I find it amazing how most people feel the need to race to that next light even when it is obvious that it will be red by the time they get there or already is, then have no other choice but to slam the brakes and sit there waiting for lights to chance. At least they got there first to wait in line, I guess. I like to anticipate when the light will change, maybe accelerate a little less or brake a bit far in advance, and most of the time it will be green by the time I get to the light and Ill have kept most of my speed.

I wonder how many of those dislikes are due to the border wall picture that popped up when Scotty said the word conservative? Ill bet that quite a few are, and Ill also bet that they were from anti-wall and pro-wall people. The anti-wall people cant stand to hear the word conservative in relation to politics and the pro-wall people just figured they were being made fun of since thats pretty much all you see when it comes to any reference made in the media. How many of the above people I mentioned are already angry at me and starting to type the words Trumptard or libtard?

Being a professional driver I see accidents all the time. The Jeep Liberty is the number one vehicle that I see on the road that if it gets into an accident almost always the entire rear axle comes off of the vehicle in flies somewhere else. It is definitely the biggest piece of junk of a car/ vehicle that I have ever seen in the entire existence of my Driving Experience. And Im 50 years old Ive seen a lot. Do not buy a Jeep Liberty if you actually care about your life or the people that will be in it. Thanks Scotty this was an excellent video

My pops always told me to turn my rotors if they arent perfect before changing the pads. Then they will last much longer because of even and flat pressure. They dont have to be warped to need turning. grooves from a nail that got lodged between rotor and pad or even a rock. If you didnt take it out quick or couldnt hear it. Problems with rotor. Even a hard spot on the old pads from manufacturer defect can groove your rotors. If I didnt hear you mention it the 5th time watching it, than my bad. But thats pretty important for a brake job.

Going through the comments Made me feel better Yes I was offended about your thoughts on the jeep liberty, Like in my first comment they are great Its like owning a Sportster Harley Davidson all of the people who spend the inflated prices of the other Harley Davidsonslike to pick on the sportster people because they spent 20, 000 more for theirs and dont like the fact they could have had as much fun riding with out spending so much lol. thanks again for all you do love the vids.

My car is 106 thousand miles and I STILL have the original breaks that came with the car. Im a great driver though. Id say professional. I grew up eating a sandwich in 1 hand and driving a stick with the other hand. I also once got out of the middle of like a 20 car pile up AND I was right in the middle. I was able to swerve right into the middle lane and I look back and its like dominos. 1 car after the other is slamming into the guy in front of me. Crazy.

I drove a 2004 Scion xA until 2016. It had 197, 000 miles on it and still had the original disk pads and rotors up front and shoes and drums on the rear. And yes, the brakes were not worn out. They had approximately 20 % left when I traded it in. I commuted 150 mile round trip 5 days a week for 5 1/2 years. I computed the gas mileage over that period and averaged 39. 8 MPG. I replaced the car with a Scion iM and have been pleased with that as well.
