I had a similar radio problem in my 2010 Prius II. Humidity would screw up the radio's display. After driving a few minutes, it would return to normal. Pushing any button on the radio while the display was still screwy would also turn off the radio and eject the CD. I got around this by only using the radio buttons on the steering wheel. I suspect it was as Scotty said: about it being a manufacturing defect or bad internal connection, since I discovered the problem shortly after buying the car new. I just lived with it (lazy. (Then almost exactly 1 month ago, I wrecked the car. RIP. Only 100k miles. Bought a 2020 Prius LE. Anyways, with all of Scotty's ranting about Toyotas lasting forever and him being wary of hybrids. I think it is worth reminding people that driving safe also helps your car last)

Is it too late for me to change my coolant? Bought a used car then i noticed the coolant is basically just rust colored. But the engine ran fine so i flush the old rusty water with a new coolant mixed with distilled water. Cant even see coolant level outside the plastic reservoir tank as its inside layered with rust maybe? Now its been 4 months and everything seem fine no overheating no coolant loss checked it every weekend. Is it too late?

Hey Scotty I got a v6 2015 mustang and I'm considering installing vertical doors (some people call'em lambo doors. I think they look fantastic and they could really help me because i park in tight spaces. I really wanna know your thoughts on this. Also, a lot of times when I set it to reverse, the rear cam doesnt work right. I heard that's a very recurrent problem with mustangs. You experienced this too with cars you've fixed?

Scotty I have a 2008 Dodge Avenger. I bought the car almost 6 years ago with 100k miles on it. Since the day I bought the car, the idle seems to be rough when it is in gear. I have noticed the RPMs seem to go up and down about 200. It seems to coincide with the rough feeling in gear. However, when the car is in park or neutral I still see the RPMs fluctuate but it doesn't feel rough. Any idea what this could be. Thanks

WHAT CLASSIC CAR TO CONVERT TO ELECTRIC --- OKA. Google for electric oka. It's a small Russian automobile, it's a classic, which means you can important it without much tax, and it has been converted to electric in England so there isn't much to it. It's a fun little car by the way, has a go cart like feeling to it. Combination of larger tires make it a good offroader.

I recently began becoming interested in cars. Can somebody tell me the worse that can happen if the shelling around a Shock is cracked. Would the car begin to settle on that side? Also what are some things to look out for and check after running over a curb BADLY and hearing some unpleasant noises from a sedan?

RADIO WONT WORK IN COLD WEATHER -- cold solder joint somewhere. Perhaps in your radio. Perhaps outside your radio. First check if you have +12V going to radio when it's cold. If yes, then it's inside your radio. You can take it apart and look for cold solder joints in power supply area.
