Heres Why Mazda is Changing the Game Mark: Mazda is changing their game. What is your opinion on a brand new, 2020 Mazda CX-5 AWD crossover with the 2. 5 L four-cylinder Skyactiv engine with 187 horsepower and the six-speed automatic transmission with sport (manual-shift) mode. I heard that they are much larger than the 2013 to 2016 model. The 2016 model is a bit too small, because I had a friend who owned one, before they traded in for a 2018 CX-9 AWD. Finally, I still do like the older Mazda's, because they are still running like a champ.

Hey scotty I have a 2019 jeep Cherokee limited 4x4 V6 9 speed with the start stop system but I always turn it off but know the area and only turn it back on when I know it's going to be a long stop and I usually get 4 to 5 mins before it starts again but then traffic moves soon after. I was told the system stop in a way what the its supposed to keep hot oil on top and witch they said has very little friction to start back up. I get between 24 and 25 mpg and on an average trip only activate the button 4 to 5 times. With it off all the time I was getting 20 to a bit over 21 mpg. It it worth using the system that was or will I still get more wear and tear and is that not true about the oil being kept hot on top. Ps I also always turn the ac off when I do use the stop start then turn it right back on but the air is blowing the whole time, its phx and it's not ice cold like when it's on but tolerable since the air is already cold down. So keep at it or is the extra mpg still not worth it?

Scott is so full of it. Now Mazda has a factory with Toyota so they do good now. So far Scotty, this is Toyota that uses Mazda tech. And factory is not built yet by any measure. Mazda also right up-there with Toyota on top of reliability listings. Scotty, you really don't understand Mazda standing today. And Toyota as well. They [Toyota] are not super reliable in the last 12 or so years. The engine oil problems are deadly. And they recalled only half of affected cars

Also Honda realized how bad their CVT adapts to the v6, so they are trying this route. Look at Nissan, they are eating it bigtime due to horrible CVT to V6 adaptation. So its going to help that as well. Toyota kept out of CVT for the V6 and it was the best thing they did. I am not sure what Nissan used for the Armada, but that trans is SUPER sooth. That is one nice SUV, but I cant use as a daily with a V8, too big, But great as a family car used occasionally.

Scotty is the most stubborn old dude. I keep hearing him make the same points. YES start/stop sucks However, per the environment and the primary reason that it was made into law. .by the time all those cars, (hat were otherwise going to idle wherever, now do not idle, the outcome is not infinitesimal not by any stretch. The result on 1 vehicle is nothing, but the carbon reduced on all the vehicles in the city, country, continent etc. That would be huge

Hey Scotty, I bought a 1997 Toyota 4Runner 3. 4 liter 4wd with 231, 000 miles 5 months ago. It runs excellent and has never burned or leaked oil since Ive owned it. I am the 2nd owner. However I recently changed my oil and put in a high mileage synthetic blend oil (5w-30. There appears to be an oil leak coming from the rear main seal. Would switching back to conventional 5w30 fix this problem if the vehicle wasnt leaking oil before. Thanks

305, 000 kms on an 2007 automatic Mazda 3 and just consumables, no mechanical problems whatsoever. It drives same as new. We are getting a new one this year but I'll keep running the old one to see how far it will go. Mazda has the lowest rate of warranty recall of any brand, lower than Toyota or Honda. This is starting to be a problem for some Mazda dealers as those dealer shops rely on lots of warranty work to stay profitable.

Hi Scotty, I have a question about the typical 8 year 80K mile emissions warranty, sometimes referred to as a hidden warranty and what they actually cover. Someone once told me that Ford replaced a faulty mass air flow sensor under the emissions warranty while the bumper to bumper warranty had already expired. Beyond the catalytic converter and OBD II system do they typically cover anything else? Thanks Jeff from Detroit

Hey Scotty, sir. NEED YOUR GUIDANCE, PLEASE. I have a 2017 Nissan Rogue Sv 4 cylinder and it has almost 51K miles on it. I always allow the dealership to do oil changes and the fluids but I do the engine and cabin air filters. They are telling me to do a recommended brake system flush and do a gas treatment- altogether 1000, I said Ill think about it but for now Change my oil, please. What do you think? Is it necessary?
