Hey Scotty, id hate to ask this if youve previously addressed the issue in a video, but new fan here. And Im struggling trying to get a 01 s10 4 cyl running clean. Basically Ive replaced/rebuilt as much of the engine as I could. But its still making a clicking type sound. The top end is fully rebuilt, afterwards my father believed it was a bad alternator making the sound but I bought a new one and replaced it and it surprised the sound by like 15%. Im almost convinced its the catalytic converter since the entires exhaust is stock drone the manifold and back. (Btw its at 215k miles) it runs fairly well but that clicking is something I cant get past. Initially I was convinced it was a lifted tick, then I thought there might have been an exhaust leak. But at this point I dont know what to do or where to look any help offered from anyone would greatly be appreciated, thank you

Yeah I think that's a great program for vets and I think it's great that you're helping out the blacks and black colleges and black students and the poor but you know there's one group that guys are not focused on at all and that's a senior women who ever lived alone and have raised our children by ourselves. We don't get anything special. We have to pay the same high prices for car repair, we have to pay the same high prices for repairs in our homes in fact most of us get ripped off all the time I think it's time that we have a little Organization for senior women which I happen to be one at 72 I still do everything on my own

I can't count the number of gas tanks I've welded in my life. I fill the tank with CO2 by using dry ice. Just put the dry ice in the tank until the CO2 starts coming out ( it looks like smoke )then plug the hole you use to fill the tank ( a sandwich bag with an elastic band works well) then turn the tank over and weld away. For those without a welder or acetylene torch the repair kits work ok. The problem is that fiberglass resin doesn't stick well to steel, where as epoxy will stick Very well, so if you can use epoxy with the fiberglass matt it will be a more permanent repair.

I am glad that someone helps veterans one at a time. I helped WWII veterans many of whom were disabled for many years and now very few are alive today. I grew in a home with a disable WWII veteran and knew about the problems that the veterans face including PTSD. There were a very large number of disabled veterans and many of them were friend's fathers. I was disabled for many years due to a brain tumor and was lucky to recover. I like helping people that need help.

I'm looking at a 1984 Dodge Diplomat as a tinker toy. I love 1980s cars, particularly the big giant sedans. The guy wants 300 for it and it has a solid frame. A friend of mine (who is a mechanic) and I will be checking it out next week, but I would still like a 2nd opinion. And I know these cars are gas guzzlers, but I don't really care. I just want a big old 80s car I can have some fun with. for nostalgia.

Scotty my Lexus GX 470 stutters on warm start-ups If I depress gas pedal while starting the issue wont happen. Dealership said it could be a leak in the intake manifold but werent sure. Could it be faulty fuel injector? I get TERRIBLE gas mileage but thats normal for the 4. 7 liter Lexus engine. First start up in the morning has always been flawless.

When I lived in Ohio, we had a local radiator shop that would take rusted-out gas tanks and cover the entire tank in fiberglass. But unlike what you're talking about (a small repair, they would take really bad tanks in with holes everywhere. They usually started leaking within a year, because all it took was one crack in the fiberglass

Shaking on acceleration can also be a bad spark plug or coil, although I might more call that stuttering. I have a 2006 Explorer, so fully computerized, and it took the computer 6 months to figure out that it had a bad coil/spark plug. It finally did though, but it couldn't tell which one. Oh well time to change them all. Problem went away.
