I use a one man brake bleeder basically a clear hose with a check valve on the end. You can put it in a cup and go press the pedal a bunch of times with your hand. Keep the master cylinder full. Sometimes the Brake light on the dash will be on from the little switch inside the M/C when you start it. Just reopen a rear one again and push the pedal hard with your foot to reset the balance switch to the middle.

Hey Scotty, I noticed you were using a Daytona floor jack for this video. Do you rocommend them? I've been wanting to buy an American manufactured and assembled (not just assembled with Chinese parts) but, they really don't seem to exist or are extroadinarily expensive. I hate buying Chinese tools (or anything else for that matter. Can you help? An informative video on jacks would be great. Thank you.

Thanks Scotty We have a 2006 Buick Allure which has about 300, 000 km on it and the darn thing is working surprisingly well. I have done a lot of the maintenance myself like brakes and fluid changes but changing the brake fluid is something I never did and this will really help. And I was not aware that the brake fluid in old bottles shouldn't be used so will toss that stuff out.

Great video, but I don't even change my own oil anymore, let alone bleed my own brake system. I don't think my mechanic bleeds the brakes, either. At least I've never noticed it on the write-up. My 4Runner is 18 years old, and I think I'm just gonna keep on truckin', blissfully ignorant of whether my brake fluid has ever been changed.

My 98 Buick regal has 69k miles. They are cheap to maintain especially if it's got the 3800 series 2. But sadly alot of mechanics are not like scotty and don't really know how to maintain simple cars. Just high end money pits. An old Buick regal, LeSabre or park avenue nice cars that are cheap to get.

Ive used 1/4 clear tubing to connect to the nipple on the brake bleeder. It works very well because you can see when it runs dirty dark to clear clean. U can find it at the plumbing section at Home Depot. Also Scotty sounds like hes about to do the hokey pokey at 2: 38 lol
