French Cars. I own a Renault, and mainland France is the second furthest country (on the globe, or oblate spheroid) away from where I live. So, I had motor issues (its a French car, after all. Complex Motor Issues (its a French car, after all. The dealer emailed Renault, head office, France, for advice on how to fix the Complex Motor Issue, but, because it was dark over there, they were asleep. (they had to have some excuse. At daybreak, French oclock, they emailed the Dealers mechanic, New Zealand, with advice on how to fix the C. M. I. But, because it was dark over here, the mechanics were whring the night away (who needs an excuse. At daybreak, NZ oclock, the N. Zealand mechanics finally read the French email (sent 11 hours earlier) on how to fix the Issue. And that fix. didnt work. The whole process. had to start again(insert many weeks worth of tl/dr events here)Needless to say, several other suggested fixes didnt work either, but I eventually got the car back. it works. so, great. But itll be the last European car I own.

Can someone answer this question for me? I have never got a straight forward answer from the forumsI have a 1999 Toyota Camry and just had a quick question (consider it an average car battery. Usually before I go into school I sit in the parking lot with my car off, radio on at a comfortable level, and phone charging (this is probably for about 15 mins. I usually do the same thing during lunch (radio on for 10 mins. Phone charging for 25. Then after school I do the same thing for 15 more mins, then start the car and drive off. My car has never had trouble starting. I drive home about 5 miles going 35mph some of the way then up to 65mph probably 7/10 of the way, so the alternator most likely fully charges it every time since Ive never had trouble with a low battery start. Am I doing more harm than good? Should I stop what Im doing and leave my car idling when I do this instead? How bad does this affect the lifespan (or maybe it doesnt) of my battery?

Hey Scotty, what do you think about a 2014-2017 Chevy SS sedan for a project car to upgrade and modify over the years? Aside from all the electronic nannies and nonsense that I would want to disable/remove over the years, is it a good chassis and engine that would be worth keeping for 10-20 years? I know that LS V8 engines are pretty good and there's a large aftermarket for those parts, but I'm worried about electric cars taking over. Would it be a good long term investment? I would like to find a car that I can keep for a few decades. I realize that rubber, plastic, etc wear out over time, so I'm looking for a car with a chassis that is good in a car crash and won't leave me mangled, haha. I realize that I can probably swap in a brand new LS crate engine if I wanted to, so the main thing would be the chassis of the car. Also, thanks for making videos, I've really enjoyed them and learned from watching them

Hey Dont knock the new Impalas The models from 2014 onwards are a totally different animal. I have a 2015 with 60, 000 miles and it has never had any real issues. Its been incredibly reliable. The only real problem I had with it was at 30, 000 miles I updated the computer firmware, because the radio and screen frozen in the on position after leaving the car, locking it and walking away. No suspension issues or engine, or transmission problems. The factory front brakes lasted until very recently about 55, 000 miles. Overall it was a good buy there Scotty.

If you think, it doesnt matter. If theirs certain cars not being made then the people that buy them have to buy another car. Creating a bigger demand. But are dealerships really going to run out of cars that fast? Have u ever seen how many cars their are at a dealership. If anything the old stock will get bought because most people will look for reasonable priced cars or used because they are cheaper. Worst case scenario is all the cheap cars will be gone. Only the expensive ones will be left. Cause no one can afford them.

I once worked for a company that rhymes with. Boat-a-rolla. We made ECUs(engine control units) for Ford. We got some bad parts from Asia and the majority of our ECUs were failing QC. In a meeting our managers told us they were sending ECUs on overnight flights they KNEW were bad cause if they stopped the Ford line. it was 1 million an hour penalty for stopping the line. this was the early 2000s. I''ll never trust drive by wire.

Yep the corporations and rich screwed everyone over by exporting manufacturing to China thus workers could be controlled by a government no crap like unions and safety laws just pure profit. I wonder how long a real war will last when all those Chinese made parts in the U. S. military weapons stop being shipped to the U. S.. All the hyped electronic components come from China

Nah man. in the future no one will own cars, it'll be a subscription service and basically a car will just drive to your house to pick you up (self driving and all. Dealerships will disappear, they'll just be a website. Think self driving electric uber you pay 300 a month for. Maybe 450 for a family plan, who knows, I'm sure there'll be different packages for your usage level.

That Fiat factory is in trouble, 500L is not selling anymore - SUVs have taken all the sales. Fiat is dragging it's feet with the production of a new model in that factory, because of the merger with PSA. Corona virus is just good an excuse. Also all car manufacturers will have to cut the numbers of workers bc of the switch to EVs.
