If You Buy This Audi You\'re Stupid Pedro: There is an odd fact about this view. Japanese cars are usually qualified, in Europe, as slightly better built than French and Korean, but way below German cars. There are exceptions, Opel is German and usually considered garbage and for a certain period BMW had bad reputation with their 2. 0 Diesels. However, a Camry vs an Audi A4? Are you joking? Audi A4 all the way in terms of quality. You can seen the European reviews of the Camry and there are parts of the interior almost coming apart. the latest Toyota Camry was brutally criticized in Europe for the lack of quality. And you guys have the opposite view.

I had a customer with a 1 year old Nissan. We found a rodent nest in her cabin air filter and advised her to have her car insurance agent contact us because the nesting material was made out of dash and carpet insulation. She refused, got angry and said her car does not have rodents. A month later she came in complaining of electrical problems in the dash and there was a warning light on in the cluster. (I don't remember which one) I told her that the repair may not be covered under warranty due to her rodent problem. She again refused to believe her car had rodents because her 65 Ford truck that is parked next to her Nissan does not have rodents. Anyway, we agreed to check it out but that if we find rodent damage she would be responsible for repairs. She refused. A few days later the car came in again this time her husband was with her. There were more electrical issues and now an intermittent running problem. The husband agreed to pay diagnostic time if we found rodent damage. Well, a month and 5500. 00 worth of repairs later, their car was fixed. It needed new carpet padding, new trunk vent on one side, a complete dash harness, another cabin filter, engine wire harness and a lot of disinfecting and dead mouse disposal. The customers got their insurance company to cover the cost of repairs.

Why is my 1995 Audi a6 an absolute tank last thing I did years ago was timing belt this car has needed very little work throughout the years but I'm sure Scotty wouldn't believe it's still has the original AC never touched and still blowing ice cold air I don't even get how by now everything still works on the car perfectly heated seats power windows moonroof ect. 160k miles engine still runs very quiet. I saw a local guy with one before and his had well over 300, 000 and he threw up his arms telling me he hasn't done barely anything

If you don't know how to work on cars and especially German cars, avoid Audi. They're the least problematic of the German luxury cars and probably the best Euro luxury car. I have a friend who's an Audi master mechanic and I rarely go to him because I can do most of the stuff myself. My 99 A4 has like 220k miles and that engine and trans ain't quitting any time soon. Benz looks nice and I've always been a fan of them, but I'll never buy one and BMW is not my style, their X-drive doesn't compare to Quattro.

Owned an Audi for few years it has relatively low mileage and was great to drive. Ended up getting rid of it as it was costing me about 3000 per year in mechanical repairs as they are unessesarily complex to service and not designed for reliability in mind. Once the novelty wears off (it will) you will take a massive hit on depreciation it will however make your mechanic rich so I guess there is an upside.

Not always the case. Ive owned a few audis and the one i have now has just hit 100k and not one thing has broken but a lightbulb. Most reliable car ive owned. Not saying they are all like that but Audi has climbed back up a lot in terms of reliability. Way more fun to drive than a toyota. Not all of us are penny pinchers like yourself scotty. We dont all buy cars purely to save money.

BMW straight 6 engines are fine if you replace the VANOS (variable valve timing) solenoids every so often. The turbo's and fuel pumps go bad every so often but the variable valve timing solenoids are best to be replaced as a preventive measure every 90000 miles or so. Check out forums about tuning or repairs to find out the good and bad stuff about the car.

My dad brought Audi A8 when I was 10 and we drove a 8000miles roadtrip. We drove for 8-10 hrs at a time and the car had over 90k mileage. Tbh the car was the smoothest car I've been in. We even hit a lorry tyre on the road. And the car just chewed it up and we kept on going. It was a superb car. Btw I live in the uk.

Greetings from Bulgaria. I'm driving a 30 year old Audi, runs on LPG and so far is indestructible. The only things changed are struts, radiator and carburetor. And regularly oil, filters and belts of course. The only downside is that it is slow unless the engine is above 4000rpm so I'm not babying it.
