So you praise Hyundai and Kia for making cars that wait until 100k miles to fall apart but completely talk down Nissan for doing the same thing? I can't be the only one who notices that. And I think Nissan's are cheaper to buy new than a Kia or Hyundai. I drive a Nissan Versa for my pizza delivery job because they provide those and pretty much everything I do with that car I floor the gas pedal. I treat it like a rental lmao and its taken 20k miles of my horrendous abuse and when you drive it normal, you could never tell how hard its been beaten. It drives like new and is as quiet as a brand new car. I know because I also just rented a brand new Versa with 400 total miles on it and there was literally no difference between how the two drive. I treated this Versa like this to test Scotty's theory. I'm sorry Scotty but if the car takes that kind of abuse like a champ, imagine how it would hold up if I didn't beat the living hell out of it.

A friend of Mine bought one ( yes I ask him why in the World would buy a Nissan ). It was a dealership loaner car with under 17, 000 miles. With in a 1000 miles they had to reprogram the vehicle and then it started stalling out when going down the road. You had to pull over and put it in park to restart ( wouldn't restart in neutral ) The dealership reprogram it again. Luckily a person ran a red light and hit it, Totaling it ( no one was hurt ) He lost nearly 1, 700 on the insurance payoff, but I told him he still made out I explained that the problems he was having was in the Transmission, he said how did know that. I said You Tuber Scotty Kilmer, LOL

Scotty, weve had Nissans with CVTs in our family and not a single problem with any of them. Just got 150K miles out of a 2012 Quest and had no indication of any CVT problems and traded it in for a 2016 Quest. Maintenance was done by the book I should also mention. It seems to me the ones with 4-cylinders have had the majority of problems. Ive had experience with the Muranos and Maximas as well which have the bulletproof VQ V6. My friend who also has a Subaru Legacy with a CVT has over 200k miles on his and no problems so take care of it and itll take care of you.

Q: does anyone know if there are any quality differences btw the place of the manufacturing? Rogue offers a decent AWD option on the Japanese market, I want to avoid used Subaru and Toyota doesn't offer much older SUVs that are worth anything. Unfortunately, SUVs were unpopular in Japan in the 5 - 10 years ago so used cars market is very limited. They come at the same price as the competition and when comes to unibody SUV it is only Nissan and Subaru that cares about AWD. Outlander is offered only in 7-seats so no as I need a trunk.

I rear-ended some rich Indian guy who was driving an '18 Rogue. He called the police (before he even inspected the damage) over two pea-sized paints chips on his metal bumper. Five 0 didn't give me a ticket because it was so minor, but the Indian dude reported it to my insurance after I ensured him that I could touch up the paint myself or even repaint the whole bumper if he wanted. We'll see how much my insurance goes up in a few months.

You'll have to forgive me but I can't STAND to see people (especially mommies) that allow these trashed cars that are in horrid need of a serious detailing to restore it. Let alone the continuous dirty engine compartments (you can eat off of mine all the time. I had a SV Rogue for a 3 year lease and when I turned it in it was near showroom all around. NOT like this sorely abused one you're showing. Kids or not they are PIGS

Hello Scotty. How are you? I have a question. I currently drive a 2013 Nissan Rogue that has almost 97, 000 miles. So far no major repairs. Should I keep pressing my luck and drive it till its paid off. Or trade it in. If I do trade it in what year should i get. I'm thinking used highlander or new Rav 4. Really want a 6v or just more power. I live up north have to have all wheel drive. Or Mazda cx9

My neighbour bought a new Nissan X trail about 4 years ago A month later he noticed that it had damaged metal work behind the grill Had been crashed and not repaired properly Took it back to dealer and they said they know nothing about it and accused him of damaging it and had a poor repair done himself He had to pay a panel beater to repair it to make it right

The good old Nissan x-trail, I got one brand new, back end of 2016 and Ive never had so much trouble with a car, its done just under 24000 miles in the time Ive had it and its gone through two turbos and three gear boxes, theyre the major break downs, theres been plenty wrong with electrics on this suv too. Easily the worst car Ive ever owned.
