I Was Wrong About the Toyota 4Runner

I Was Wrong About the Toyota 4Runner Mark Dumagpi: I would never get a 4Runner or a Pilot, as well as an MDX, RX350 or GX470. These crossovers or these SUV's are not one of my tastes. I was watching a review on a brand-new, 2020 Subaru Crosstrek and it should be an excellent, crossover wagon, because the seating position is a little more higher than a 2011 Subaru Impreza 2. 5i wagon. My younger brother would like to get that for his first vehicle, because he is now a fully-licenced driver and they are all all-wheel-drive (AWD, along with other Subaru's. Also, the 2020 Subaru Crosstrek could be a replacement of the 2007 Toyota Matrix. For my opinion, for myself, I will only stick to used vehicles at that point, when I will be a new driver in the future. I was thinking to get myself a 2005 Buick Allure sedan with the 3. 6 L V6 engine for my first vehicle, because it is fast and they are more reliable than these newer junk from General Motors (GM) - 2011 and up models. Anyway, this was not a bad review about the 4Runner, but they are still not fuel-efficient.

4Runner is for getting around in horrible road conditions, or offorad conditions. Yeah it's gonna be a gas hog, it's a full sized SUV with offroad capabilities. If you wanted mileage and pretty great reliability, and decent handling in bad weather the Rav4 is just fine and is probably of better value to you. I'm getting a 4Runner cause even though they're gas hogs, they're still quite reliable. So what you pay in gas, is saved in reliability. Still not a great tradeoff, but everyone needs something different and that's totally fine. Plus the highway departments around where I live are lazy and take forever to take care of the roads, a 4Runner will make their laziness their own problem instead of mine. So yeah. that's life lol

The 4Runner gets bad gas mileage because the power train is ancient and inefficient. The 4. 0L V6 is just old technology. The Highlander, which is a similar size and weight, gets in town what the 4Runner gets on the highway while making more power because the power train is newer and more efficient. The 4Runner, which is a midsize SUV at 4500 pounds with 270 horsepower, gets fuel economy akin to that of the Cadillac Escalade, which is full-size SUV at 5500 pounds with 420 horsepower. Toyota needs to update the 4Runners entire powertrain. It could be getting fuel economy like the Highlander, but Toyota just wont do it.

Scotty I have a 1999 GMC Savanna Van, 350 engine gets 10mpg. Bought it in 09 with 47000 miles. Has 75, 000 miles on it now. It was and is a nice riding van van. Has a high top that needs paint and the van needs buffing out, just started surface rusting this year some. We live in Michigan, snow on the top took the paint off fiberglass, wont fit in the garage. I just paid 600 for front end parts. 3 years ago put a rebuilt transmission in it, new calipers on front, new tires. It drives good, everything works. How will I know when it's done? The 20 year old body will be shot before it has a lot of miles.

A local Air Force base floods. When I was an insurance adjuster we would get flood claims from the airmen/airwomen. They would see a flooded road and a sign stating road closed don't enter. They would go around the sign, into the water, because they saw a Hummer drive through it and thought their compact car would also make it. The car would stall and they would keep trying to start it which ruined everything. Please do a video and what to do if your car is flooding and what to do if the car catches fire under the hood.

If your buying a used car and it turns out to be stolen and the police pull you over you should make sure that you unlock your doors and listen to there orders and if your hands are out the window and they tell you to open the door from the outside and its locked, go to the handle and show that its not opening because it is locked and then listen to what they say, do not put your hands back in the car because they might think your reaching for a gun and tase or shoot you.

I had a 79 f150 4x4 and the oil pressure gauge went to zero. The engine sounded fine. I took it to a Ford dealer & the service guy came back. Mr. ---- I have some bad news for you. Your engine is shot. I stood up and demanded he put a sending unit on the engine and I would be on my way. I got his name and wrote FMC a letter with a copy to the dealer. Crooks. Never heard from Ford or the dealer, but I never went there again.

On the freeway boom no oil light no pressure on gauge and wouldnt go more than 30. Pulled over and called me. Luckly we had bought warranty and they cover motor replacement. Brand new jasper 0 mile motor. We dodged bullet on that one.

Hey Scotty My mom has an 07 Town and Country with 160k miles on it and after 11 years, shes finally considering junking it and buying another car. Shes looking for a minivan under 13 grand; a Chrysler or Dodge minivan. Id think shes crazy, considering that Toyotas and Hondas cost way too much. But I want your opinion on what minivan she should buy with that amount of money.

Scottys says everything but a 94 Celica is a gas hog ha ha ha What is the definition of a gas hog Scotty? My 06 SR5 has 180k miles on it and when pulling my 18 boat I still average over 24 mpg (thats combined. Mileage is not my greatest concern, my daily is a 2017 Z51 coupe C7 and it averages 19-20 mpg combined. I dont drive like a lunatic though, but I do have fun
