Auto companies like most other companies make products that are poor quality by design. The company's main concern is to make the most money in the short term. That short term has gotten shorter and shorter. Now it is per quarter. Soon it will be per month eventually it'll be per day. All to bolster the stock price. When Reagan changed the rules and made stock options as part of corporate executive's compensation the only thing that matters to the boards and CEOs is stock price the product are only as good as they need to be to sell. Car manufacturers also make a lot of profit in the repair business. It's like the lightbulb industry that set standards that dictated a bulb had to only last a certain number of hours. Planned obsolescence. They are made to fail

As far as emissions, is their a difference between a pending code and a stored code? I have a 2010 Ford Fusion that has a code in the computer but does not show the check engine light. I replaced the part related to the code (P0455) a few months ago and popped back up about a week ago with the same code. Ran a scanner and it showed 3 codes. 1 was related to something replaced about 2 years ago but none the less I cleared everything but the code p0455 just will not clear but does not turn on the light. I know the evap takes time to show ready and I was reading you can pass with that not ready but unsure about a code in the system that does not turn on a light in the dash. Will try to take it to autozone and see what they find.

Hi love you videos and attitude Skotty on the civic 99 minute 7: 12 I believe shout be the back engine back rubber support, that happened to me long time ago, the can check is open the hood, get it on drive hand break make sure of that give a little gas and if the motor rock move too much you now know thats the problem easy to Diagnosed for the shaking on the steering when acceleration or di accelerate on the steering wheel on freeway speed that can feel like Alignment of the car is off because the shake of the wheel do to the forward and backwards of the engine.

8000miles In on my 2019 civic si, beat the piss out of it, no oil dilution issues to speak of. These oil dilution issues primarily plague the 1. 5t CRVs from my experiences as an express tech at a Honda dealer. Primarily 1. 5 crvs splatter oil all over the floor like an explosive chocolate milkshake when performing an oil change, likely all the gas. Regardless of what I said, hoping Honda fixes this right cause they know much better and theyre gonna get their asses sued into the ground If they dont fix it.

If you come for buying advice you will end up with no car period. id recommend you not buy any car until you test drive and research. Are you doing the work yourself? How much are you willing to invest in the vehicle? If you have money then any car will do the job, if you have a tight as budget and the hooker took your last 20, then you better stick to something that has stood the test of time. Dont worry about the interior and rust, after all its the engine that matters, scotty will tell ya.

Hey so i got a Honda civic 1995 and its got an engine swap with less than 50 thousand miles. I already paid around 750 to get a new clutch set installed and another 400 for sensors and wiring problems. Now im being told i need to pay another 400 because the ecu is misfiring and they need to replace it. Need help figuring out if its an easy job and if i could do it myself or if its really worth paying that much.

There is an exception to that Scotty. I had a 2014 VW Pasat TDI (diesel) that was not paid off when VW took it back. They not only took it back, paid off the car they gave me a check for 7500. 00 for my inconvenience. It was a painless process, I was surprised at how easy it was to return the car, once the lengthy paperwork was done, which I did on line.

I have been with hondas since the beginning of time ( relative to me, my prior two cars were a honda civic 2012 and 2014. I've honestly given up going for Honda civic Hatchbacks because of their engines =[, Do you think that I'm okay with going for the 2019 Honda civic Sport Sedan (non hatchback) its not turbo and naturally aspirating =[

I just got my Civic serviced because of the same issue. After it was complete, they told me that the oil dilution was very minimal and that if it happens again, bring it in. It shouldn't have happened in the first place and I'll sell the damn thing. Only had my Civic for four months and is by far, the worst vehicle I have ever owned.
