Can a Honda Civic Last 1, 000, 000 Miles, Let\'s Find Out TheLinuxYes: Yodas and Hondas. can't go wrong with either. the only thing that peeves me off about Hondas are things like hiding the oil filter back near the firewall so the customer has trouble getting to it. own a 2005 civic here with almost 160K. still runs great but i'm a sticker with maintaining it and i don't drive it like nascar. overall i'd prefer a Yoda.

AT-205 reseal to the rescue again; ) Took my older Honda to my mechanic, and they couldn't find a oil leak, the pcv was said to be fine, yet was dropping the oil level pretty quickly for low mileage driving. So I put AT-205 in as Scotty recommended it multiple times, and the oil level stopped dropping. I also distrust my mechanic a bit now so I actually went to a dealership for my next regular maintenance, and while they may charge book prices they actually didn't try to rip me off at all. It was only 20 more an hour than the mechanic I had been using, and they should actually be certified to work on Hondas. The dealership even inspected another part of the car without charging me extra I thought was having a problem, and my mechanic didn't handle those repairs. We'll see later on if it was really a problem, but at least they didn't charge me extra shop time.

I have a 2005, the last year for the ep3 in blue. I am the og owner, and have been driving the heck out of mine for the last 15 years. I'm on my 3rd clutch with 178, 000 miles on it(stage 2 exedy.
Replaced the cat last year for a CARB legal Magnaflow high flow cat(literally the only aftermarket one legal in CA for around half the price of a new honda factory CA cat.
Also got a new fuel pump, because the old one leaked.
Its got a few other bolt-ons and body mods as well.
Currently saving up for newer adjustable coilovers and better lsd.
This car has treated me well, and can be fun to drive with a few mods.
A great second car. (It was a good first car)

VW s in Europe use both Port and DI. Volkswagen says that both systems are needed to comply with Europes more stringent particulant emissions requirements. This set up not only does the engine produce less emissions but it also is more efficient and produces more power. Along with the other benefit of Eliminating carbon buildup which plagues US VW GDI only engines.
Clear-cut example where higher emissions requirement makes everything about the engine better including its power output. Keep that in mind when people tell you they need to roll back standards and that this will be good for the consumer.

Hey Scotty. My dad has a 2016 hyundai sonata. It has around 80k miles and he noticed the engine oil kept depleting after a few thousand miles. We took it to the dealer and are in the process of doing an oil consumption test every 1k miles. There isn't any leaking, so my dad thinks it is being eaten somewhere in the engine. The car is under warranty so we are at the dealer, but I would like your opinion on what the problem might be and if an engine replacement is likely needed?

I had the same exact car, same color and everything for about 5 years. I had a magnaflow exhaust, good tires and wheels, upgraded intake manifold/throttle body, and chassis reinforcement for subframe and in hatch area. To this day, I regret trading it in. Even with all the things I added on to it, it was the most reliable car I ever had (except of course my old '94 camry) Car was a lot of fun to drive, and still got over 30 mpg. I miss my old civic si: (

Anyone know if Ford fixed the issue for 2019 or 2020? Know someone who got a brand new loaded explorer in the past year. Already think it s funny bcuz we got a Mazda CX-9 with all the same stuff except 4 wheel drive but a few years older for less than half what they paid for that thing. Will be a damn shame if they have to deal with oil consumption issues on a brand new car on top of getting ripped off.

A video on a Honda, would lead me to my question. What's your thoughts on the Honda CR-Z? My dad is either going to sell or give me his 2012 CR-Z which has well over 180, 000 miles. The car is relatively in good condition despite being a daily driven car. He might ask for 2000 since that's the amount he owes for the car with finances from Honda.

Civic's of that age are notorious for SRS codes. Mine had one telling me that there was a possible fault in the passenger bag. Honda fixed it under warranty but not the second time that that code was tripped. Funny thing is it was a basic model and only came with a drivers airbag. Just try telling that to the safety inspectors tho.

My 07 civic has been the best car I've ever owned, never had a mechanical issue with it since I bought it knocks on wood unfortunately I have the hybrid model so there is no way I will be getting a million miles out of mine, as soon as that hybrid battery croaks it's getting decommissioned.
