Scotty there are no bad cars, there are bad drivers, mechanics and assemblers. I owned e350 benz back in days, and all my problems that Ive had happened after my visits for an oil change at Portland Mercedes dealer in Portland, OR. I knew my car and I can strongly witness it that they did had dirty business and dirty mechanics It was a great car and my camry or a TL is no comparison how it drove. Day and night I like toyotas and hondas for their reliability. But there is just not much to break in this civic if you compaire it to a Volkswagen phaeton options.

Acura started going down in 2009, today all of their vehicles expect the RDX are rebadged Hondas. Dealers are giving 10k off last years ILX, the car is basically a 2012 civic with leather and a DCT. I test drove a TLX and the car has nothing very dated interior felt like a 2005, the new Accord is more modern. But Lexus even though they cost more the depreciation curve is less steep and they feel like luxury vehicles. Cant say the same about Acura.

Ive always owned Honda cars. Im eyeing a used 07-10 mdx for more seating capacity and reasonably priced. If only lexus rx offered 7 seaters in earlier years i would consider it. The gx and lx are super expensive even used. But hearing about the mdx 9, 000 transmission fix scares me. The pilot and highlander SUVs werent good looking until these recent years and theyre expensive used too. I really like the body of the MDX. I dont know what to do

Ive been a Honda/Acura (only) owner for decades, and now that Im older I am craving something more like a Lexus. Looking at used 2016 ES 350 models, the prices arent too bad and a least they take REG unleaded, unlike comparable Acura choices. And BTW, my last Acura was a 99 RL, it was smooth and dependable but the transmission failed unexpectedly at around 170k. Ive also heard once you go Lexus, you never go back. Hmmm

07: 00 Sorry Scotty but all small and almost all mid-sized SUVs are car based, not truck based, this is why they ride as good as a car. The Xtra large ones and some of the larger ones are truck based like you said but there are still some large SUVs that use a passenger car platform. The term CUV or Crossover is being used more and more to describe these car-like or car-based SUV-looking-things.

Havent even watched the video yet, but its simple when you place a Toyota against ANYTHING in terms of being better overall(reliable, low maintenance, holding value. hands down Toyota every damn time. Nothing else has any hope of comparing. I love Honda, and I love my old school American muscle. But Toyota is the best if youre looking for a good car overall.

Bought my 2011 ES350 in November of last year with 92, 000 miles and some change. Only thing Ive had to do is get the oil changed, brake maintenance, and new tires. Ive gotten so many compliments on the car and it rides so smoothly. Its very spacious and has an awesome sound system. Lexus is made by Toyota, so for me, thats enough said
