Heres Why This Celica is the Greatest Car Ever Made Shea Angnos: Here is why I disagree as a 1994 Celica is a complete gas hog and all that extra money you spend on gas is a complete waste of money I sold my newer Toyota car and bought an old 1994 Honda Civic VX. The BEST car ever made It averages 43MPG has 240K miles but way better than your beater Celica that gets a dismal average of 26MPG. Its a 5 speed and shifts smooth with no trans issues I dont drive slow either but rather put my foot to the floor and still retain 43 average MPG The car can hold 80 MPH up 6% grades and easily cruse faster on the flats I wouldnt hesitate driving across country in my old Civic VX. The Civic VX comes stock with ultra-lightweight alloy real wheels that look way better I live in the mountains, work at a ski resort and dont need AC but it could be added on from another model civic I just dont want to get worse gas mileage for something I dont use. The car may have a little less HP at 92HP but the power to weight ratio is better Its a hatchback so I can fit way more stuff in it My car has 240K too and still is running strong I met a guy the other day who has 440K on the original motor on his Civic VX Parts for this car are cheap as there is a huge aftermarket for civics and Honda parts are cheaper than Toyota. Yeah I spent 700 for it but I have saved so much more on gas it keeps paying for it self. If I drive 20k miles per year I spend 1000 less on gas than your beater Celica so who cares if it has a timing belt as it cost 600 for someone else to fix it every 5 years. Civics have way more style civi for life Have fun spending all that extra money at the gas pump HA HA

1994 Celicas are great I found one in my neighbors back yard that had been stolen and recovered with what turned out to be a burnt clutch. It cost me 300 and a few hundred in parts. I drove it for 5 years until a pizza delivery driver rear-ended me at 35mph. it killed the car but the insurance money was enough to buy another 1994 with a swapped 250HP 3SGTE turbo engine. Because these cars have a turbo GT4 version sold outside of the US, you can easily swap the larger engine. The only drawback is that doing that kind of customization can lessen reliability. the benefit is that it becomes crazy fast I found inexpensive rear shocks for the lift gate that cost between 50 and 100 so those are cheaper than he said. The cloth on the original seats is tough but not very pretty. seat covers are a good idea. In the 1990s I was looking at a new Celica at a dealership and the pretty car saleswoman said hop in the back and see if theres enough room I got in the back then she climbed in with me a good sales technique as I was so distracted I didnt notice the lack of legroom.

Scotty I love you but man you love to talk. You think the 2ZZ, which was only used on limited edition Matrix, Celica and Corolla, led to the demise of the Celica? Yamaha has helped Toyota create all their great engines. For a sports car engine that can rev to nearly 9000 RPMs and was used in Lotus it was very reliable while the base 1ZZ engine was a very similar powerplant to your 7A-FE. and I hope you know it was the 5th and 6th generations that had turbo engines since they were used for WRC. the 7th gen wasnt supposed to be a racecar lol. and come on Scotty no one was able to sell sporty cars between 2000 and 2010 but even so the Scion tC was a totally legitimate successor to the Celica. For me, screw FWD, I would rather take a non turbo MKIV Supra. simpler RWD mechanics with +2 seating and liftback.

Yamaha-toyota 2zz-ge has no flaws besides failing oil pump on 120k miles and lift bolts on around 50-60k (which takes 30 mins to replace and the cost is 2, plus they were bad designed 2000-2002, after 2003 they were updated. Plus 2zzge is used in Lotus Elise, Exige, has supercharged applications putting out 260bhp. 7th gen celica is also a hatch and im also using it as a work car, half of my toolbox is always in my trunk. My a/c is also perfect, only changed condenser for 55 because it had a lot of bugs and got better-than-perfect a/c. Have put 25k miles since i bought it and all the problems ive had were my own faults. So yeah, 2zzge in 7gen celica is way better than you think and than you tell to your huge audience.

Yes Scotty should stop talking about a 94 celica, and Im going to tell what are waaaaaaay better than Toyota 1998 Oldsmobile regency, Oldsmobile 88, and 98, again and those cars are waaaaay better than Toyota, I had 1998 Oldsmobile regency for 14 years and reason why I sold it, its because of many mileages like 450, 000 mileages Toyota this Toyota that and thats not true, it depends on how to maintain it or how to treat it, but like I said those cars are waaaaay better than Toyota, and another cars like crown Vic, merc Grand Marquis, and Lincoln Town car, and I also like Cadillac DeVille

Good for you, Scotty. I bought a Celica 98 model, with the 5 speed gearbox, in 2005. It had 105000 on the clock, sold it a few years later on with 150000 miles, to a guy, who has finally moved it on in 2019 I dread to think how many miles it had on it? When I had it, I couldnt believe how tight it was, no creaks or squeaks or rust. Nothing went wrong with it. The dash was old fashioned compared to European stuff, but it was bulletproof, with a great Sony stereo. I really wish I had not sold it

I Scotty, Im in France and got a Toyota Carina - E, 4AFE 1. 6l 106HP, its basicaly the same car as yours. My dad had one far almost a decade but crashed it. He bought another one and my mother too. We never spent a cent on those cars other than common maintenance. Its 22 y. o. and I would never get rid of it. Not having to mind about expensive car repairs for your dayli is a luxury I got a 2. 0l Honda Prelude for the weekend and its almost the same, those cars are endless money savers; )

Those arent hubcaps. Theyre wheel covers. Yall need to stop that bullshit. Hub caps can cover the hub assembly internals, axle threads/axle nut, and/or wheels lug nuts in some cases and prevents rust, dust, water, and dirt from corroding components and contaminating grease for the hub bearing assembly. Hub caps are metal disc covers. That is a piece of plastic that protects nothing.

This is why you got so much money. Its people like you who dont blow money on needless things like newer cars every so many years, cellphones, or other gadgets and other trendy things out there. If it aint broke, dont need to replace it. It also helps that youre a mechanic/ Mr fix it, which assists in saving you tons of bread.
