Heres Why the Acura Integra is the Best Sporty FWD Car of All Time wackomanx: My favorite vehicle I have ever owned was a 1992 Acura Integra GSR. I loved it so much, I bought a second GSR in the same Aztec Green Pearl. The B17A1 had a very unique sound to it. You would think it would keep a lot of the high pitch the B16A2 has but it didnt. It was very quiet. On one of them I had an exhaust built for it. The shop welded up a catless header back exhaust with a ES Tuning Systems oval styled muffler. I remember the guy telling me the only way he would build this catless exhaust was if anyone asked who built the exhaust, I was to not tell them. I thought it would have a high pitch with a lot of rasp but it ended up having a deep tone. It really surprised me how it sounded with no catalytic converter or resonator. I threw in some Hasport mounts as soon as they were in production for that model after the exhaust. Everything would vibrate but the launches were strong. The mounts really helped put the power down. The YS1 transmission had short gears and that added to the driving experience. I ended up installing some OEM one piece headlights because I couldnt stand the way the USDM headlights were split into three pieces. I dont remember the brand of shock/strut I had but I remember the springs were Neuspeed. At the time, you had to piece together the suspension for the second generation Integra.

The two way adjustable seat, makes you wish you had 4 additional ways to adjust your seat. Says it all. Solution; get some Recaro brackets for it, and pick up some old Porsche OEM Recaros. Yes, theyre all Recaros. The ones from the 928s are all multi way adjustable, and possibly the most comfortable seats youll ever own (but HEAVY); theyre power, with heat too. I got my pair in black leather for 350 off craigslist. Seat brackets are another about 100 apiece. Be nice to your passenger, too.

The guy loves cars and made a cool video, BUT, Seeing his review, painful seats and other quirks, I now, more than ever fully appreciate my FULLY LOADED midsize TRUCK; A/C, 8 WAY SEATS, Automatic, Cruise Control, FULL SATELLITE RADIO and KickA__ STEREO system, 4x4, so I can go ANYWHERE AND so much MORE I can load a 55 big screen from the store and bring it home as well as a million other uses. Maybe this video is really a testimonial to why FORD is dropping most all their cars.

must be a swapped transmission because a stock ls transmission has the longest gears of all b series transmissions. I hate the ls transmission, its horrible for all motor. if he thinks that thing moves now put a b16 or type r transmission in it and it will be like a totally different car. that b18 will move pretty good with a shorter gear transmission bolted to it.

Japanese cars of the 90s are the best cars ever made imo. Fun, moddable, cheap to run, supremely reliable and easy to maintain. The ultimate peak in quality engineering. Only problem they had was rust protection or lack of it. Fine in a sunny climate like California but here in the UK they all just turned to piles of brown dust when used in winter. I miss them so much.

I had one of those. I regretted selling it for a long time. That front end was a classic. Why cant Acura make cars like than anymore? What they make now is so boring. Apply a little pressure on the stereo unit. I had that problem too. With a turbo engine with more low end grunt and top end power, it would have been such a treat.

I had 1988 and 1990 RS integras. REALLY LOVED the 90. Nearly 360 degree viewing. Rear window wiper. Turns on an absolute dime. Got it up to 122 1/2 MPH. The inside heater & cooler were the best on the planet. The car was bullet proof except the front half shafts would fail. I still rate the 90 the best car I ever had. LOTS OF FUN

I love the 2nd gen Integras(my personal favorite generation) and Would love to have a GS-R. But I hate those electric seat belts with a burning passion I hope hes not serious about loving those horrendous things. If he is I wonder what hes high on cause I want some too LOL

I use to own one of these Integra and eventually bought a 1996 which is the next generation. As long as you take care of your Integra itll last you forever these things are bulletproof and easy to work on. Makes you realize how overly complicated these new cars are now a days.

Love the video. I get all what you removed except for the exhaust. Ok lm getting old now and l want too a little bit less Canon farts but. A stock one? That reduces the performance of the car. Plus putting back the stock suspension. please do NOT. 140 hp not fast. but quick.
