I cant wait until Thursday to ask you a question. I have poured everytime I have trying to find out why oil light and goes to hot. I have had over 2500 worth of work done and 4 rows and still can not get a answer. I had another thermostat put in 2 days ago. I thought it was the problem again. No the next day did it again. I pull over and cut suv off start it back up and drive until it comes on again then repeat. I have been doing that for 6 months. My doctor is 90 miles from houston. I go there and back once a month pulling over about 8 times there and back. 98 ford expedition xlt. Been to 4 mechanics. I finally read to get a combustion kit. I am doing on the first. I also found out the thousand they charged for schocks and all underneath they said I had to have done or would not pass inspection. None of the work was done is what the other mechanic told me. Help! I have been watching you sense you first started on tv. Way to go scotty. Your probably the only honest knowledgable mechanic around. If nothing else can you refer me to someone honest? Please, I am in desperate mode now.

Scotty, any chance you could talk about lubricant in an AC compressor? I have a 1994 F-150 where the compressor seized up due to lack of lubrication. Where I live in SW Montana it's not a big deal because it doesn't get that hot here. Unplug the electrical lead to the compressor and that's it. BUT I have a 2003 Toyota Sequoia that I'd like to keep in good condition. AC seems to 'stress' the engine a bit much. Don't want the same thing to happen and ruin the whole AC system like my Ford. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

my drivers door hangs and the window goes down only halfway and makes creaking noises. and if the window is down as far as it goes the door wont open or it will open but you'll hear a loud pop. maybe i should just take off the door card and see whats up with it

Lol my car does not have a temperature gage it only says C in blue when the engine is cold and then it goes away when the engine becomes normal operating temperature and if the car over heats it will give you an H in red so I don t think we can look at the needle

what if the buttons are not working to roll down the window? wouldnt spraying wd 40 inbetween the buttons and its circuit board help make the button more sensative and work again? seeing how wd 40 is safe for elcontrics and it would attract electrical current?

Hey scotty what can I do for my 2018 Mazda. The windows become stuck up during hot days. im guessing the plastic or gaskets around the windows swell and the windows stick up. I have to push the windows down by hand to keep the motors from breaking

Hey Scotty great job I don't have to tell you how many people don't do this stuff even when they're some what mechanically inclined. Some people just don't learn which keeps mechanics like you in business.

Bought 2013 Nissan Altima (I know lol) at 27k and now at 174k, did all maintenance as normal. (That I knew of) Should I change the transmission fluid now, no shifting or noticeable operating issues.
