I'm skeptical that people don't want manual shift transmissions. Auto makers have been telling us for years that the market for them has shrunk, but I see tons of excitement around anything that is released with a manual shift with an engine option that isn't the most gutless in the line. Do people really not want a manual transmission or is it because auto makers aren't making them available? Think about the money they can save by not having to engineer and tool for multiple transmissions. Am I crazy, or is this a reasonable idea?

A C8 Corvette owner accidentally found a possible cause of the frunk hood flying open. When he walked to his C8, he found the frunk already cracked open likely due to inadvertently pressing the trunk release button on his key fob while it was in his pocket and he was working in close proximity from his garage. If owners do this and drive off without noticing it's open, voila! User error. Highly unlikely but with thousands of owners, definitely possible even if it's

We had issues with those Asian ignition switches and starting a car and the anti theft system malfunctioning due to ignition cylinder wear and GM replaced many on recalls and they also extended warranty on them. As far as accidents and airbags not deploying that was proven bunk and you need to study more. If you had too many keys on the ignition key ring then yes it was possible to cause vehicle shut offs but then again that was user error Scotty.

Suspension upgrades for a 169 horsepower car? That makes the Corolla zippy? Sorry, no!
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for suspension upgrades (on all cars) because most cars have engines that will propel the car faster than it's safe to drive the rest of the components. 169 horse power is enough to be comfortable getting on highways (and breaking the speed limits) but just isn't going to launch you.

What was all that gas pedals sticking on Toyotas? Or the safety belts not latching when they got dirty?
I seem to remember something like this many years ago, but never found out what happened at the end?
Did Toyota fix the problems via recalls? Did they go the Honda and GM way and blame the operators?
I had a Toyota V6 Camry back then but had no problems with anything.

5: 26 my car picked up a little shakiness during braking (highway speeds) the last couple months, too. Took it to my tire shop for a free wheel balance with my oil change. About 2/3 of the problem is gone! I probably also need front rotors but now that can wait a few months

Toyota and Honda are scared of Kia. They know Kia and Hyundai are just taking over the car world. Toyota is like, we gotta keep up man, just make whatever, just make a sports Celica/Corolla to keep up with KIA s forte and Hyundai Elantra 2021s.
