To me the proportions look wrong. As the Z4 is a small car to begin with, trying to fit features of the Supra on it were always going to look out of place. The large headlights almost meet in the middle, a bulging body with curvy lines and intakes just doesn't suit the slimline chassis. No matter how you dress it up, it's not a Supra in my eyes. This was a wasted opportunity to bring back an epic car into the 21st century. Such a shame

as far as scotty was concerned BMWs were always an endless money pit and fell apart after 60 thousand miles and all were made of plastic. so now that toyota has made supra with engine, drivetrain and every thing from BMW it wont be a game changer. it's still same endless money pit. scotty you taught us so. stay away from last gen supra. instead get a 1994 celica supra and rev up your engine.

My fav car I have every owned so far was a 1977 Toyota Celica GT liftback.
Manual transmission, aftermarket headers and high performance cam.
Fun car to drive
Problem was clutch master cylinder
kepet on going out since I had the old design. Post DOM July 1977 they fixed it but new part wouldn t fit old design cars.

Over 45 years of experience has taught me that a turbocharger ONLY belongs on a DIESEL engine; put one (or two) on a gasoline engine and you'll find out why it doesn't belong there, the expensive way.
(While it's definitely NOT just my opinion, for now, let's call it just my opinion )

I have a 94 non turbo bought new and still have only 41k miles, auto could'nt afford the turbo ones at the time over 50k plus dealer mark-ups, and this car replaced a 91 Pontiac GTA 350, that was stolen and found trashed and totaled out. Very reliable car, i still get offers to sell.

It's a shame they didn't offer the MKV with a manual gearbox option. Yes I'm aware of all the arguments in favor of a fast shifting positive feeling slushbox. It still (imo) takes a little s'more of the driver out of the experience of the drive.

I really do think the B58 will be remembered as one of the great turbocharged 6 cylinders. Yes I know it s not an Rb26 or 2JZ GTE, but it s a great engine, and good enough that Toyota decided to put it in the next generation Supra.

Nothin will ever fill that gap, the mkv can never be topped, the 90s look and style is better in my and other opinions, I'd say Nissan did much better with the New skyline, then Toyota did here. It's nice, but not a supra, not to me.

I think they shouldn't have made it, when they didn't want to spend the money to develop it inhouse.
The could have made an inline 8 outta 2 of their own inline 4's, like they make a Bugatti engine out of 2 from an Audi.
