Why Do People Drive Like This Robert Mitrea: Am I the only one who finds Volkswagen drivers the most annoying? For example today I met a Polo with broken (and blacked out) stopping lights, and when he started breaking hard (he was about to miss the entrace to his house, he started breaking in the last moment) I shat my pants cause I wasnt expecting itGood thing I drive an Audi TT and my breakes are great, if I had a heavier car I would have crashed into him no doubtMaybe its just where I live, but they are by far the most annoying, even more than Porsche/BMW drivers

Ha Road rage from Scotty Kilmer You'd really have to do something bad to piss him off Last week, I was driving a loaded '95 Taurus wagon on a two laned road. Speed limit 55mph. I was driving 65mph. A huge, big red 18 wheeler came up behind me and tailgated me. It was literally two feet off my bumper. I wondered what Clark Griswold would have done. Then, decided that wasn't the thing to do. He was so close that if I had suddenly spotted a place to pull over, he would have had no reaction time. Finally, on an open stretch, he passed me. I am not willing to drive a loaded Taurus wagon 80mph on a two laned road with blind hills and curves. It's kind of unsettling to think a truck driver would be willing to do that with a loaded rig.

I don't really see that many more in pickups with hats but it could be because there's ample clearance for it. I'd say the worst drivers i see are typically in family cars or mini van's. I used to watch my friends dogs and watch how neighbors act based solely on the vehicle. There was a blind s curve coming up over a hill and 25 mph. If one of their friends mini van goes 40+ straight down the middle not a whisper. Then there was a bmw and motorcycle with mildly agressive exhaust but they knew it so drove slower than posted. Though neighbors would every time if outside swear, yell, gesture etc. at them or any sports car. Luxury sports Audi, Merc. were of coarse exempt from any anger.

It isn't a specific car or pickup truck that points to the worst drivers; it is behavior. First, the Porsche and Mercedes are both complex cars requiring (for the Porsche) too much attention to the mechanicals; and for the Mercedes, too little attention. Pickups are very prevalent and car-like, many drivers have no experience in large vehicles. Still, the worse driver is the distracted driver; so I look out for cell-phone users, and grandma driving her old Pontiac while holding an animated conversation (hands off wheel) with her passenger. Teens showing off or just untrained. They are all good arguments for self-driving cars.

I have a Kia Forte and it's got over 160K miles on it and is a 2010 and it's been driven a lot and has been a workhorse. BUT I can say that it has had issues every once in a while and I would probably recommend getting a Toyota Corolla instead. I've had a fairly good experience but it hasn't been completely trouble free. I'll keep this thing till the wheels fall off but my next car will likely be a Corolla instead. The thing that concerns me is that the new Corollas have CVTs. Should I size up to a Camry which I understand still have conventional automatic transmissions or would the Corolla be alright?

I have to disagree with Scotty. I live in the DFW area and the worst drivers are in pickups. Those drivers will park themselves in the left-hand lane and you have to drive around them. Apparently turn signals on many pickup models were never installed or do not work. Most of the time when there is a driver who cuts people off from merging, they are in a pickup. Pickup drivers use to be the best. But I suspect with so many transplants from other places, they do not drive with the same friendliness that we used to see from all drivers here in Texas.

Hi Scotty, Great videos, common sense and knowledgeable My question concerns my wifes 2015 Altima, 104 thousand miles runs great and Iam a stickler for maintenance I have serviced the tranny at 30, 000 60, 000 and 90, 000 so far no issues but Iam having issues with front brakes The rotors were warped at 37, 000 so I went the route of high performance rotors slotted and drilled with matching ceramic pads so we have achieved about 66, 000 miles now I am finding a shake from the wheel on modest braking again any suggestions on the best rotors?

The worst drivers I've ever seen are in Western Australia Many believe they are the only drivers on the road. Don't give way to cars on a roundabout, or even look right (rule is to give way to cars on your right) Merge onto a 100kmh freeway at 70kmhPeople already on the freeway don't adjust their speed to allow merging cars to slot in Parking between the lines in parking bays, seems to be impossible for many peoplePeople will drive up on the curb to pass cars, even though they have three feet clear each side

I don't know about the world but the worst drivers I've ever seen in the U. S. are. 1. Puerto Rico (considering it's a commonwealth of the U. S. 2. Florida 3. New York (usually NYC drivers though more specifically) Also. I'm from Central/North Jersey the worst drivers around me are usually of Haitian decent. It just is what it is. And people in or around the city of Chicago can't parallel park for sht. I travel the U. S. a lot. That's just my experience.

Well I drive for a living so I feel like I have a better understanding then Scotty here. I'm sure I'm not the only one. The worst drivers are Chinese and Indian people. The Chinese have no idea what they're doing wrong and the Indian people don't care and they also don't know what they are doing wrong. Don't believe me look at the world of Motorsports. Those are the two countries with the biggest population but not one of them has made it into professional race car driving
