Toyota Just Saved the Manual Transmission Robbo: The ATS stuff is pricey but it works. I bought the 2 pack of oil cleaner and the fuel cleaner. I put both in, not in the same place, oil, the engine, fuel, the tank, into my wife s Terrain. Both worked wonders. After doing the oil change I only had to pour in 1/2 a quart after 2 months. Before, I was putting in a quart every 2 weeks. Money well spent. If you have an oil burner, which is probably every vehicle with the el cheapo piston rings, try the ATS product. Hopefully you ll get the same or better results like I did. It s cheaper than a new engine.

Scottie I'm getting ready to retire from over the road truck driving After 18 years. I bought a 2006 Subaru outback wagon for 2211. 00 In immaculate condition not a spot of rust, everything runs great on it I haven't driven it yet my father He's picked it up for me and hes holding it as his house he said it ran great do you think I'll get several years of use out of this car or is it something that's gonna croak out on me in a couple years? I'm one of those people that are religious on maintenance on my car and I take good care of it.

IMO every new driver should be forced to learn how to drive manual and have to complete there driver test in manual! The amount of bad drivers who would be off the road would put a smile on my face haha. Manual drivers are good multitaskers. and can handle more then one task at once while driving meaning they can react quicker to situations! Just saying all my friends who drive manual are great drivers. where a far majority of my auto friends scare the crap out of me lol!

Hey Scotty I have a 2017 Kia Sedona with 255K miles. When I start the van up and put it into gear the transmission jerks from 1st into 2nd gear. I shut the van off and restart it. The transmission shifts normally with no issues. My mechanic thinks it the fuel pump another mechanic thinks it could be the Transmission control module? Has anyone experienced this issue?

not available in the USA, but the base elantra is offered in a stick shift up here - for originally 17998 CANADIAN dollar; pretty well equipped with WIRELESS android and apple, heated seats, 15 alum wheels - darn nice looking actually. NOW around 21, 000 here with pricing the way it is. We get it because Quebec still sells a lot of INEXPENSIVE stick shift cars.

I've driven standard for well over 30 years - not really by choice, that's just the way it worked out. I think I would actually prefer an automatic, or at least like to try one out, but standards just seem to be cheaper these days, and sit on the used car lot longer, so I'll likely be driving standard until I get an electric - if I live that long.

No more manual transmission? Wow this world has gone crazy I took my driver's license test in a 1989 Chevy S10 with a 5 speed and made a 90%! But you talk about nerves going crazy. Now it's like second nature. Current vehicle is an automatic but my last one was a 5 speed Tacoma and boy do I miss that truck!

Here in Europe we pay about 8 euros the gallon. A hybrid is no option because the complexity and I don't have tesla money. So I bought a Renault Zoe. Full electric. The only problem is the range. What do you see as a better alternative to drive a car without emptying your pockets due to the high pas prices?

I m 18 my first car which is my current car is an 03 ranger manual and I love it. I like being in control and never have to worry about anyone ever driving it. My next cars probably going to have to be a wrx since I still want a year round manual that will work in heavy our heavy winters

Early 2000's chevy trucks are rust buckets. Mechanically the engines might will last if you take care of them. But I'll bet you 3: 1 that the frame rusts in two first. Chevrolet is a synonym for Rust. I'll never own another Chevrolet or GM made product again for the rest of my life.
