Every year, the San Diego County Fair sets up shop at the old Del Mar Fair Grounds and race track from mid june through the fourth of july. The fair grounds are located right next to the Surf Line just south of the Solana Beach Station. Here, the single track main line passes over one of the few remaining wood trestles. The combination of this bridge over the San Dieguito lagoon and the night lights of the fair provides for some excellent night photography opportunities here during the early summer months. Starting in 2013, we will go back and look at this scene on three different occasions over the last four years. You will see video of the night lights of the fair as well as several trains passing in front of the fairgrounds. So come along for a Night at the Fair! Date: 2022-05-12
