Wait. So the media's narrative on this whole thing is that if the story was true, then the victims are black and gay/trans citizens who are oppressed every day. And since the story is not true the victims are now black and gay/trans citizens who are actual victims of actual crimes. Y'all can't be serious. Yes, this demeans those who have actually been victims of such crimes. No one is arguing against that. But do y'all not see the double standard and the bias in yourselves? You really can't look in the mirror and realize that you were on board the train to crucify the first white guy wearing a MAGA hat that would turn up in the case. Thank God there was no scapegoat that they actually tried to accuse. Do you not see the racism in your own actions to jump at this kind of story? This case and the case about the kids wearing their hats in Kentucky should be prime examples of the narrative that the media is so badly trying to push but is just grasping at straws. And we support that? What happened to innocent until proven guilty. I'm ashamed at what journalism has become.

Jussie Smollett deserves prison time and a good amount of it, what if riots started in the streets of Chicago and people lost their lives? Everyone in media seems more upset that this give conservatives a gotcha moment and not concerned with their own lack of proper journalism. With the way info gets out these days everyone is so quick to try and be the first to cover a story especially if it fits their narrative, they dont care about the actual facts just about what appears to be facts. And now people like don lemon are sure to add in if these claims are true, but why wasnt that little phrase added in when discussing the incident when it first happened? I understand not wanting to call a victim a liar but you cant just make it so anyone that claims to be victimized is automatically believed.

The thing that really frustrates me about this whole Jussie Smollet business is all the people that jumped on the MAGA racist Trump derangement syndrome train. Booker, Harris, and other notable politicians all embraced this only to say we better wait for the facts weeks later when it all began to fall apart. Then there's all the activists who pose as journalists that did the same thing. This is why Trump's cries of Fake News carry so much weight. Before Jussie we had the Maga kids, before the Maga kids we had the Julie Swetnek allegations. I could name tons more if I just took a moment to dig. If there is anything people take away from this it's don't listen to the initial story. ever. Wait 48 hours and see what comes out instead of jumping on the hype train. This is just so infuriating.

This is an actual question please answer it for me. How harsh should we be on people who havent committed a crime? He was planning on doing something terrible but theres no way to tell the future if he was really going to do it or not. Im so conflicted. he had several memos and drafts of doing it plus a spread sheet so it wasnt just blowing steam off but at the same time he still didnt do anything technically illegal. it seems unfair not to stop him but in or legal system theres not much they can punish him for besides being mentally unstable and a possible threat to others he will get his gun rights taken away and metal help but will he get prison or any real punishment? Should he?

I laughed so hard when I found out the racist so called people that got paid by checks to fake the attack by saying MAGA again also involving a rope tied to his neck and bleach which just happened to be by 2 black jacked up Nigerian people which apperrantly he was able to fight them off and miraculously turn up to the hospital all by himself like he got out of a shoot out or something, how fake and obviously dumb do you have to be to get caught like that, he got exactly what he deserved by mistakenly creating his own career suicide

I have always believed that false allegations should result in jail time equal to what one would get if found guilty of those allegations. It is truly one of the most disgusting things to do because things like this have one of the biggest impacts. Not on an individual, but on the community and culture. We're getting to a point where He wore a MAGA hat means the same as I am making this up and that's awful. That we're not going to believe it when this happens for real. Real victims will be hurt because of Jussie. He is scum.

Hasson's defense; the FBI is going after him to show it is not just targeting Muslims. Yes, just that. His arrest has absolutely NOTHING to do with the cache of weapons, terrorist manifesto, and the planned targeting of anyone who is not white and Christian, and him sating that he wanted to get a strain of Spanish Flu, Botulism, and Anthrax to kill off as many people as possible. But, sure, yeah, the FBI, Coast Guard, and the Department of Justice are just doing this to show they're not profiling.
