Who Youtube's New Crackdown Is Hurting, Why Venezuela Might Get Even Crazier, & Facebook's New Ban Horhe Vamp: Philip - on Venezuela. Maduro is crap. that doesnt excuse turning a blind eye to things that ARE happening showing a clear influence from outside goverments. For example: 1) Yes the Venezuela water/electricity network has not been well maintained and there are many issues. Two huge blackouts though, longer and harder than have been in years and pretty much one after the other at THIS point in time is to say the least suspicious. 2) The whole 'he burned aid' was debunked when it was proven that 'protestors' actually set them on fire. Yet no apologies were made, no sanctions taken back even though such sanctions were put in place. 3) Yes there are opposition rallies with 1000s of people against Maduro. Those are covered extensively. How about the pro-Maduro rallies? Noone knew Guaido (exaggerating but he was not like 'the face of the Opposition')until recently. he OBVIOUSLY doesnt have a huge following as Maduro has. conviniently almost noone shows those Pro Maduro rallies and how widespread and massive they are. 4) Just cause a judge is appointed by someone we dont like doesnt mean that what they find is false. Guaido has been accused of having been a CIA asset from a varied spectrum of people. now there are irregularities found and his excuse is 'they are out to get me'. Sure. lets believe him but we dont believe Maduro when he says the same? Isnt it convenient that every time something is found about Guiado or his staff he just says 'ah its illegal, ah you cant prosecute me, ah its all fake'?

We can't keep expecting Youtube to be able to handle problems that the world at large hasn't been able to solve. Youtube can't solve the pedophilia problem on the site, there's just too much content and the algorithms aren't intelligent enough to replace human eyes. They'd also require 10's of millions of employees to do the job manually, if not 100 million plus. However, that doesn't mean the problem can't be solved, we just already rejected the solution. Anyone remember the Youtube Heroes program? I was just as against it as most everyone else was when it got pitched, but now, I'm thinking something like it might be necessary. Because it would actually allow Youtube to have several hundred thousand people working on this problem, if not more than a million. Make it so individuals are checked on the quality of their reporting by other moderators, and moderators who have disputes filed against their moderation enough checked by youtube employees, and maybe we can start to solve this problem more effectively.

One of the few times I've seen you do this Phil, no matter how insignificant of a reason it was for: you manipulated a news article for your own argument, which is something all of us criticize mainstream media. About the 37% of mobile traffic being Youtube thing, if you read the very next line it says that might be the case because video streaming takes more data. The report was made on the basis of how many megabytes each app consumes, not on how much time spent. So, you using that as a fact to portray how much control Youtube has over us is manipulation of the facts in you argument's favor. As I have stated, the news itself is insignificant, but your actions are not. Please ensure this doesn't happen in the future with bigger and more significant stories.

Facebook is becoming very over reaching. I didn't appreciate the use of White repeatedly either, why aren't they talking about all races just for example there is serious Black Nationalists such as Black Lives Matter a woman from that group was telling Black people to kill white people she got jail by a beautiful black American male judge he told her straight that it wasn't ok, No mention of the other ethnic groups just a whole load of white from Facebook huh any other white people feeling bashed and angry for nothing no fault of your own your just white looks like white people are the oppressed now white being proud of your nationality isn't bad or wrong being violent is wrong

Love your show PhillyD, my question is what about black supremacy and black hate speech? and i know to alot of people that will seem silly but where i come from its not its everyday we are overloaded with black supremacy and black hate speech. Im all for going against hate speech and racism. just wonder why its always labeled white supremacy when there is more than that out there, why not call it RACE supremacy, in a world that is trying to achieve equality we really do suck at it Anyways i'm probably going to be trolled or slammed with haters for this post but those are my two cents, I love yall faces regardless

All the people calling the college tuition scandal the biggest deal in the history of higher education. I hope you do realize people have been doing what Lori Laughlin and those people have been doing since the beginning of these colleges history. I personally know a girl from my hs 7 YEARS ago who paid her full 4-yr tuition to USC in cash to secure her all 4 years. hm. last time I checked youre supposed to move on in college based on passing classes, not paying cash in advance, but hey. Trust me, its been happening forever, theyre just the first celebs to get caught and make it publicized lol

When it comes to all these issues concerning Facebook and YouTube, theyre both victims to their own revenue models. Ad revenue is a huge incentive for bad actors. And I dont mean Russia or North Korea. I mean programmers with flaky ethics, that have clickfarms at their fingertips. And sensationalism is the best way to garnish attention, and by proxy, ad revenue. So yeah, as long as we want free Facebook and free YouTube, therell be bad actors trying to scam their advertisement models by posting content that gets us riled up (and by proxy, gets our engagement.

Let me get this straight USA literally said if you are not from NATO do not send your troops there. They are literally saying we will send our troops there stay away. The one calling himself intern president is literally rejecting law as long as he says they work for Mudoro and no proof needed and for the average nincompoop in the country they do not know what Sanctions do and that their entire troubles are happening because the USA intends to usurp the current ruling party. Phil is by no means spreading information he is spreading Propaganda.

The problem is the same everywhere: too much centralization of medias. Too much on google/youtube, facebook, apple, not enough independance. The world wide web is dying, nobody makes their own website anymore. So when everybody work under a few corporate umbrellas, these powers can act with no care of the hurt they cause because they have almost no competition. Facebook wants to do good but there are many other kinds of separatism than white separatism. They should say all separatism is wrong if that is what they are thinking.
