I can tell u right now that a whole lot of people are ignoring the lockdown its unreal. There are some companies that are staying open and telling their staff that they are key workers. Im talking about retail staff here So these staff are being put in a position that if they go to work they risk getting sick/death/killing someone Or stay away and have to go through a difficult situation with their employer. One employer was asked why are we not observing social distancing rules in the office now. The manager said social distancing only counts in a social environment and this is a business environment so its not the same. Yeah you read that right. And I know that happened because I was there when the person asked and the answer was given. The U. K. need a 100 percent fully enforced lock down with only exception being on medical supply gathering or food shopping. Companies that sell coolers and microwaves are not essential retail. We survived without threes for hundreds of years and we will survive this without them just now. I have the corona virus right now. Im in hell. Its hit me fast and hard and is not lifting. I am healthy and fit. but this has floored me I can understand how anyone who isnt in good health or elderly could be much more impacted and face potential death. Im struggling with my breathing so i dont know how a smoker, asthmatic, immuno suppressed or elderly person would cope. Ive not saw my kids or family in 8 days now and itll be at least another 14 before I do because my kids are on lockdown in another address becauseI had the virus when the lockdown came in to effect. Do not travel. Do not go out unless u have to and companies need to do more to protect staff Look after each other and stay well

Sad commentary on how self involved people are even in the midst of a global health crisis. A true look at the lack of character in our politics and these bizarre beliefs that if you are on tv or a movie screen you are somehow worth more than someone who is not. Ridiculous. Watch what people do, not just what they say. Sunday service with the celebs on how to lead a better life? Offensive to anyone with reasonable intelligence and common sense. Pay attention to the corporate welfare and post economic recovery when these companies threaten to domicile outside the U. S. to avoid paying taxes after our tax dollars bailed them out-again.

One of the most accurate statements about West I've heard, I think he's a jackass. The Kardassians are just an emblem of the corrosive rot in the USA culturally. I think Swift should've sued them back when it happened, but now as Swift stated there's far more important things happening to focus on currently. It exposes how thin that Kardassian group facade is. That Lt. Gov. Patrick is pathetic, but I'm not surprised such a statement coming from a TX politician. I'm not the biggest fan of McGregor but good for him making that plea.

the problem is not the percentage of deaths of those infected, the actual problem of this virus is how fast it spreads which means there is a big number of those infected and as such even a small percentage can turn out to huge numbers of people. The spread of the virus doesnt follow a linear line, it goes up exponentially. The victim doesnt show symptoms until after 5 days, which means during that time it spreads it around the city, just by touching in an office, public transport, shops etc.

Im so glad here in NZ as of midnight tonight the whole country is shut down for four weeks. Only essential services like supermarkets, pharmacies, hospitals are all that are still open. I work in a pharmacy so have to go to work. But lets hope this decision by our government is enough to stop the movement of the virus in our country. I really feel for the American people being led by a loose unit like Trump.

I dont know how Im going to get by and pay rent. Right now its rent or groceries but Im holding off on both because they are evicting and towing peoples car here in AZ. I have no family here or anyone that can help. Ive been having nightmares that Ill end up on the street when this is done because Im a photographer/graphic designer. I know Im not alone but I feel like I am, and Im scared.

Phil, it's not just Italy anymore. Check Spain, check France and check the Netherlands for instance. We're all heading towards the still to us unknown peak. Do the math for the US and be scared. I truly hope Mr. T. makes just one big mistake, when hopefully someone else can take control and save the majority of you. Glad to see you're still the voice of reason here.

Tell people who are in critical condition that this drug might save them but can have some serious side effects, at this point i can guarantee most people will take their chances, and given the testimonials of the doctors who tried, it seems to work. I think it would be reasonable to give people the choice after giving them a fair warning, it might save allot of lives.
