Dear Brian Kemp, Are You an Idiot or a Liar? The Confusing & Heartbreaking Mess Around Masks & More wastingsanity: Because of the shotty testing in America, I believe the numbers are higher. The nearest testing location from me is an hour away and they are not longer accepting appointments. In Southern California I believe that the virus has already infected a good chunk of the population about 2-4 weeks ago. I developed flu like symptoms within this time which appears to have progressed into fluid in the lung chest pains similar to what was described for the virus. When laying down it was almost unbearable. I put myself on an over the counter anti-inflammatory, Advil. When there was pain I took 2 every 4-6 hrs and did not exceed the daily dose. The pain subsided and when I reached a day I didn't feel the pain, then I decided to take one advil a day for a week. Currently 4 days without medication and do not feel any chest pains when laying down like before. Please remember that everyone is different. I have a high pain threshold compared to the average person so my experience may not be yours if you decide to take this route. I highly recommend seeking out a doctor.

The issue on face masks is that it needs to be broken down: 1. Your standard surgical face mask is not believed to prevent the infection, the virus will hit the mask via water participial or touch, you then breath in air directly through the mask and will bread in the virus. Some studies have suggested that the use of the mask can even make things work because if people use them, they feel safe then do other things that cause the spread, like not washing hands or going out more. 2. Your standard surgical face mask is believed to prevent the spread of infection to others, the virus will hit the mask via water participial when you cough or sneeze and does not go out into the air. Surgical mask are call surgical mask because the are effective at preventing the surgeons Bactria and virus from entering the surgical patients will their bodies are cut open. 3. M95 masks (technically, N95 respirators) are effective at prevent the spread of infection to the wearer because (if fitted and worn correctly) all air comes from an air filter that prevents at least 95% of all small partials from entering the mask. All three of these are important to under stand.

In this situation we are all in, I would like to share something that my aunt taught me a long time ago that has helped me get through a lot of hard times. When everything seems uncertain and overly stressful, just think about your next 5 breaths (deep, slow breaths. Then think about your next 5 minutes, focus on what is right in front of you and only think about the next 5 minutes. When you feel like you can breathe a bit easier, focus on your next 5 hours. And if you are feeling mostly ok, maybe think about the next 5 days, but only take thinks in chunks you can handle in the moment. I know it has been very rough for everyone and I really want people to know that they arent alone. Take things in small chunks and let yourself focus entirely on something smaller and more controllable for a few minutes before taking on larger tasks. In these times we all need to manage things the way that is best for us individually, while also caring about the wellbeing of those around us. I wish everyone the best and hope this helps someone.

Pelosi didn't refute a single thing. She basically said Too bad so sad. This isn't good seeing as how blatant the lies around Trump, China and COVID-19 have been it's already hard enough to trust the media you included with your bias confirmation problem. Second, the push for authoritarianism right now is abhorrent and we the citizens are looking to lose much of our power over the course of the next few months with governments overstepping their boundaries and/or setting horrible precedents. Third, if you actually paid any attention and didn't turn a blind eye to things you would know that a few democratic officials were blatantly cheating in the elections back in 2018 and caught destroying tens to hundreds of thousands of voter ballots for republicans. Do you honestly think that a power hungry cunt like Pelosi wouldn't allow, or hasn't already staged, some form of cheating to occur? Especially if voting occurs via mail?

Speaking from the Denver, Colorado area, it seems like nobody is social distancing. I understand that there are certain small amounts of people like myself, that stay home as much as possible (I've been in quarantine for 14 days now) but it is so far from the majority of people. I went out to get food today, and there is still RUSH HOUR traffic. COMMON, people the governor literally declared a stay at home order many days ago. It just seems like this virus shouldn't have ever gotten this far, and I seriously see no signs of anyone around me doing anything to stop it. There are just SO MANY people out and about every single time i peak my head out. It really hits you when you live your life thinking the year is 2020, and then all it takes is one pandemic for you to realize that structurally speaking, your entire state is behind by like 80 years.

My family already had masks prior to the corona virus. We tried to donate to the hospital but they declined it. So we wear it when we go outside for groceries since corona virus could be asymptomatic and we also have elderly at home. This kind of spread of misinformation its not effective only if you have symptoms caused my family to get social policing and harassment. My brother was harassed on the train for wearing a mask. Yes only a N95 will prevent you from getting the small droplets, but a surgical mask can prevent spreading. How do you know youre not spreading when corona virus is asymptomatic? It is best to stay home but if you do go out, whats the issue in wearing a mask if you already had them? Should have spread news as it is dont buy masks because youre depleting the supply from people who need it.

Why government is blaming people for purchasing or hoarding gloves and mask when they should have been able to produce their own supply. Like super pathetic we can make millions of weapons in a day probably a lot more then that. Yet we can't even make protective equipment? What this is, is the government and local state not doing their jobs which is to protect the citizens and they don't want to be held responsible. Even when we were give months in advance to prepare. I mean our own citizens went out and got prepared way before the government and when states ask for help to go into the government reserve supply. Only to realize how low the government really is on supplies.

I live in Japan, and I can tell you that the reason the numbers here are so low is because Japan is just refusing to test people. If you aren't in the ICU with COVID-19 symptoms or the immediate family of someone in the ICU, you aren't getting tested. The Health Ministry has been open about this, saying that it has been part of their strategy to reduce public panic, reduce strain on the healthcare system, and not impact the economy. Obviously, that isn't really working, and at this point an emergency declaration and nationwide shutdown are inevitable.

The number of health care workers who are going to quit the industry will be staggering. It is not the military, there is no contract, and the oath is to the people not the corporations. Are we prepared to lose half of our health care workers, and also support them during unemployment? Tell me, who is going to be willing to risk their lives, and their families lives. AFTER seeing this happen, on the front lines. This Surgeon General is going to have half of his army walk away legally. Good luck to him. Best of luck to those who work for him.

Asymptomatic transmission is why I've been saying for a while now that I, and many other people who transport goods or people, should be getting tested AT LEAST once a week if we're continuing to work because we need to know if we're infected BEFORE we spread it to multiple states. I was guessing 10k+ deaths in the US by easter. Looks like I undershot a bit. I just hope I'm not undershooting by expecting this to continue to escalate until some time between the 10th and 14th of july before the numbers start coming back down.
