I have to keep working at my factory job and I don't get hazard pay. Can't run an assembly table 6 feet apart. The precautions they've taken are laughable. I'm in danger every day of bringing this virus home to my already sick Mom. I can't quarantine because I wouldn't qualify for unemployment and I'd have to skip my car insurance, rent, utilities, ect. I can't stay safe, we can't hear eachother through masks with a huge bending machine and punch next to us. We're a metal manufacturer those machines are LOUD. We need to communicate to keep rate. It's also great that COVID stays alive on metal super well. Our Rivit and Rivnut guns never get cleaned, they hardly get oiled. Hell, our cleaner took a week off for some reason and THE WOMENS RESTROOMS have gone WITHOUT CLEANING for over a week now. Sure wash my hands 24/7 but I'm literally covered in random machine oil, bits of metal, ect. I get scratched and cut every day there it's impossible to keep clean in this factory. People on unemployment here in NY are getting a bonus 600 a week. That's more than what I made working 9 hours of OT last week. That pisses me off that people who get to stay safe are getting compensated more than I am, when I'm risking myself every day. I'll be mad af if every other essential employee gets hazard pay and we don't. We can't strike, we'll be fired. The weld shop already tried a walk out when their supervisor didn't show up and they got threatened. The company is too small to afford hazard pay. So far we're getting nothing but yelled at.

I work in the food industry as an essential employee at a store called Wawa (gas station/convenience store. I'd say that overall, the company is doing a good job of protecting us. As for how I personally feel when I'm working, I am a little wary every time an interaction forces me to get close to someone, but things are relatively under control, given the circumstances. We've installed plastic barriers at the registers between cashiers and customers, and there are even social distancing stickers on the floor showing customers where they should stand per CDC's 6-ft guideline. We also have an advisory play through the store every 5 minutes or so, asking customers to do their part in practicing safe healthy habits when interacting with us employees. We typically don't get free food on break, but right now we are guaranteed a free sandwich every shift. Also, we will be given 2 weeks paid time off should we or a family member test positive. I'm super thankful to be working for a company that cares for its employees during high-stress times like this one, and I hope that the workers who don't have this security get the good that they deserve.

So I am considered an essential employee, even though I just work at a gas station. I work at a Circle K in Woodside, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are a 5 minute walk from the Dartmouth General Hospital, we get in a lot of the nursing and medical staff on their breaks because almost every restaurant, and fast food chain is closed. Our company has supplied us with lots of cleaning supplies and new rules and regulations, like only allowing 5 customers in the building at a time, cleaning the washroom every 1/2 hour, disinfecting the atm and payment machines. The breweries in our province have switched over to making hand sanitizer, and our company got a deal with them. so we won't run out of hand sanitizer any time soonAlso, I'm lucky to work for a company that is giving us hazard pay. It's scary, cause of how close we are to the hospital, and how many people come and go directly from the hospital to our store. even with social distancing many people don't care. They still come in coughing and acting tough like we are overreacting, but my dad has health problems already, I live with him and I refuse to be the reason he gets worse

I am dating a guy who is considerably younger than me. he was legal when we met and we knew each other over a year before we even started dating. We have a lot in common and we are so happy. I think if both people are happy and both are consenting adults then it is no one else's business. Even my boyfriends mom has always dated older men, his bio dad was well over 20 years older than his mom and is step dad is like 21 years older than her. So I at least with his parents they can't give us any crap over the age gap lol. But many other people would. We pretty much keep my age private. I support these two so much, So many older men and woman have been together and been happy. Jlo loves younger men haha and I and Hugh Jackman has a 14 year age gap with his wife who he has been with for a very ling time and is very happy. Age means NOTHING as long as both are adults and happy.

As long as they are both consenting adults and there is no aspect of grooming, age gap relationships really come down to the individuals. I personally dated someone who was 14 years older than me (I was 24 and he was 38) and our age gap was a huge part of why we didnt work, but thats not going to be the case for every relationship. I get why big age gaps can make people uncomfortable, but its not your place to tell a stranger how you feel about their relationship when thats all you know about it. That being said, for anyone in such a relationship, its important to recognize a possible power imbalance due to age, experience, wealth, whatever, and try to make sure youre not being manipulated or taken advantage of. Not that thats whats happening with these two, but it can be something to consider when youre dating someone significantly older or younger.

It definitely rings true what your saying about McDonald's employees. My brother doesn't work for them but a small local grocery business and is a lead for workers in the food section. He's been told by his bosses to avoid talking about Covid19, and specifically, if a customer brings it up in conversation to try to change the topic and talk about something else. This is a business that usually encourages them to engage the customer about whatever they want. And they don't have adequate PPE for a small business that is tightly packed as the building itself is reused and repurposed as it used to be as someone's residential home. It's sad and frustrating to watch, what are now considered essential workers, be used and abused. It shouldn't be surprising though, as the regular American worker is used and abused. It it still is.

I'm glad Florence stood up to the hate instead of caving like so many other celebs do when they're under a little pressure. My own parents are 20 years apart, and it was a lot more common in earlier times. Honestly, it should be more common now - if women got married at an earlier age to financially stable men, they wouldn't have to rush into the workforce and then have to make the difficult choice of interrupting their education/career to have a family before it's too late. But, like in many things, people think their own personal (often poorly-thought-out) ideas of norms should be the rules everyone else should have to follow.

No hate to them at all, I personally find it weird. Not just the age gap in itself but because of the age gap no matter what they are at completely different stages of life and from personal(ish) experience it's really hard to sort out a relationship in a completely healthy matter when the disconnect of where they are in life and the worries and pressures they might have is so separate. I do also hope she clarifies that statement about who people love because considering the situation, that can be misconstrued by MAPS (minor attracted people) as support, I already have seen that happen and thats gross Pedos are gross

My opinion for Florence would beWho is this? Whos this guy? I dont know this person. I never watched scrubs, I clearly have no investment nor anything of the like. The magnitude and importance of this issue is absolutely minimal because it has nothing to do with me. Shes making a point for herself telling people to mind their own business. Thumbs up to that. Over all what ever the people who gave her all these hate comments and literally bully her, are in the wrong. There. Its not bullying then? Oh okay, then were not taking about you and you recognize that this is none of your business. Good on ya.
