AT JUST 3ft tall and weighing only 15kg, Ganesh Baraiya is set to become the world-s shortest doctor. However, his route to success was far from straightforward. The son of a farmer in Gujarat, India Ganesh was initially denied the right to study medicine by the local government and the High Court. Undeterred, Ganesh and his family appealed that decision in the Supreme Court, who finally ordered Ganesh-s admission to the college. Upon graduating, Ganesh hopes to help people who cannot afford medical care

He is too cute! And I mean that in a good way. I hope he continues with his dream of becoming a doctor. I don't know how it works in india, but often in the US, you have to do rotations in every area before picking a specialty. If its the same there, I could see why it may be difficult for him, as he would need a nurse or assistant with him at all times, in case he needed to lift someone after an emergency. All the same, I wish him the best. India needs more good doctors, as so man of congenital issues seem to arise in that country. Not sure if its due to the lack of health care in the poorer areas, diet, or just it seems like more b/c of the vast population of the country. But I've been watching all the -born different- videos, and close to 10% are out of india.

It's crazy that your nation's law would prohibit you from getting a degree or certification because of something physical. If it was in u. s. they would of sued and got money and a doctorates. But I would like to tell you that what your dealing with is maybe a small tumor by your pituitary gland that maybe is inhibiting it from being activated by maybe surrounding the tissue with its own capsilated tissue caused by secretion of hormones by the tumor. start taking hgh and testosterone would do the trick plus letrozole to keep all types of estrogen from being created

People are quick to judge and scrutinize God's decision to His creatures. Ganesh did not choose that size. Why deny him the right to education and brighter future.
Glad that the court of law prove them wrong. I like the way the principal is encouraging and motivating him.

If people like him get the benefit of reservations, nobody would object or oppose.
If is because rich and entitled people corner most of the reservation benefits, that there is opposition to reservation system in India.

-Provide treatment for those who cant afford it-, a wise word from a true doctor at heart. i believe healthcare shouldnt have a price to it, it should be given freely to whoever need it the most.

I see your three foot man and I raise you Nisa Juarez. When she was born she was only 20 centimeters in length and there are now universe size comparisons that list her as the smallest baby!
reply

Also, he could try to find out what his own condition is!
He is very proportional, looks healthy, strong, and has been able to stand up to the rigors of a 1st year Med student.

Why haven-t any doctors been able to diagnose him for over a decade? He-s clearly a primordial dwarf, look it up and tell me otherwise.
