What Turkey's New Gas Discovery Really Means
video description
1- More reserves have been found. Countinous exploration is ongoing with Turkiye now owning 5 of the 9 drilling ships on Earth.
2- The gas terminal is almost finished and the ship to be laying the pipes in the shallow part of the sea is in port getting ready. 2 months later the deep sea pipe-laying ship will arrive. They might start testing the whole system starting in late 2022. If by 2023 Turkiye starts using that gas in households, it will be a world record for the shortest time ever to build such a huge complex system. It usually takes between 5-10 years and the Black Sea is pretty much like North Atlantic in terms of roughness.

Short answer: It means war score Skip, it means war.
Just another example of the various ways oil, gas and water continue to cause conflict.
I mean it's possible it'll stay a cold war between Greece, Turkey & the Cypruses but tensions were already high enough.
Anyone who knows about the geopolitics situation and history of Greece, Turkey and Cyprus probably immediately knew there would be much good to come from it. Turkey's erroding freedoms and more aggressive foreign policies + the Cyprus issue + the Martine border dispute between Turkey and Greece along with Cyprus and Turkiprus(had to.

8: 50 Lira was at an all time low then? You should see now, the country's currency has slumped over 90% and 70% of it has slumped in the last 6 months.
People in Turkey can't buy bread and the one's who make bread can't afford to do it. Turkey's main governance is driving the country to ground to a point where it might be an irreversible Change.
Turkey could be the next Venezuela

Before even watching the video if only there wasn-t a war a planned pipe line from Egypt to turkey and Europe were to go ahead everything you will say in this video would have been different so that beg the question why the war in Syrian started who started it and who controls the natural resources now. Let-s watch the video and understand that more you know more you need to know

AS TURKEY, we are one of the LARGEST countries in the WORLD, there is no country that can confront us as an army, we know death as salvation. On the other hand, many of the elements you mentioned in the video are false information because the country is economically good, we are rich in natural gas and boron mines, no one is hungry and thirsty like in other countries.

doesnt make any sense, tbh. 7 years worth of gas is nothing. you cant really bargain anything with that, sure you can cut 10% worth of import and make 7 years into 70 years, but you still pretty much rely on import. and you still need to figure out if it is financially viable to harvest the gas, transport it, etc.

Turkey is faking gas and oil finds again and again to fools the world and its own people. Anyway, too late as oil demand falling sharply. The present upsurge is only temporary as the USA stopped shale oil facilities.

Finding gas these days must feel like finding a poppy field two days before Opium Abolion Act: -) It's technically amazingly valuable but everyone is looking hard how to stop using and how to enforce new rules on addicts.

You know if this gas is transported inland then the Turkish lira will strengthen against the dollar. because the billions of Turkish dollars that have been used to buy imported gas remain in Turkey

Turkey should better develop renewable ressources. They have a huge territory, enough to build wind farms and solar farms, develop biomass and build nuclear reactors. With that they wouldn't need gas.

There are no new discoveries, they know where all the oils and gases are. 40+ years ago they said Saudi was running out of oil. They suddenly discovered more oil in Texas and Dakota, BS

If the Turkish gas reserves are large enough, Turkei could become a supplier to Europe, turning a recurring expense into a recurring profit.

I seem to recall that during WW2 that the German Nazi's were getting a lot of their oil from Romania. Have those fields been exhausted?
