Out of curiosity why is the Arduino using a timer to stop the motors instead of using the scale to weigh the liquids? I guess I'm confused as the time it would take to pump x amount of vodka is different from say the time to pump x amount of molasses and it would be easier to find weight by volume then run it through the machine to find volume pumped / time right?

this is an amazing project for someone new to the whole arduino world. i will definitely build me one. im a whiskey drinker and so are my friends the only problem we have is that we top it up different. one has his with water while the other has his with lime. is there anyway you can change the code around so it can memories each persons drink.

why do you use the scale for the liquid starts test only? couldn't you get better, liquid type independent, measurements by using the scale for actually measuring the amounts instead of a timer? or if the timer is good enough, why do you even need the scale, you could just measure the time it takes for liquid to move through the hose.

While 100ml of water weigh exactly 100 gram, that does not apply to any other liquids. They can vary wildly, especially ones with a lot of sugar in them.
Or short:
The Wodka is lighter then water while all the juices should be heavier.
Probably doesn't matter, just curious if you accounted for that.

hello, can you help adding timer function into the code so if the liquid bottle is empty, the fuction will stop after X mount of seconds; to prevent motor from running and burning out. I try the millis) function, but I couldn't figure out how to get the counter start after the drink is requested.

I do enjoy listening to your videos, you are very good with cad and programming. Also its interesting for me to see that everything you do is metric where as Im from Chicago, IL. USA and its mostly imperial/std measuring system, confusing- I wish the world was only metric!
