Commius & Caesar Sean: --
At the time of Caesar's attempt to have Commius murdered, Commius was seated during a requested parley meeting arranged by Caesar.
Commius was struck in the head according to Caesars account but managed to survive the glancing blow and defend himself sufficiently enough to make a dash to mount his nearby horse and flee the trap. The pursuit terminated when Commius wheeled his horse about and killed the nearest pursuer's horse with a spear and thus severely injuring the centurion in charge of Caesar's plot by pinning his thigh thru the mortally injured horse.
Commius turned and made good his escape. That's the best part of that particular story.

Commius (Comm) was definitely an agent of Caesars, he escaped to Britain he became the king of the Atrebates, sent his sons to Rome to be educated by the Romans, his son Tincommius also became king, founded Calleva Atrebatum (Silchester) planned it in a Roman style, received tribute from Augustus, and his grandson Verica welcomed the Emperor Claudius in 43AD and it was for him that Fishbourne Palace was built.

Man, less than a hundred years Britain ruled a quarter of the world. Today Britain is smaller than the American state of Michigan and their people are subjected to voice-overs & documentaries and Siri.
Let that be a lesson to all you Americans or see your once proud peoples bowing to a London like mayor.
RIP Britannia. Cant imagine what you going through, once proud and strong and now.
