The title of Khan was undeserved by Genghis, he had tried to usurp it, from his childhood friend. Whom he betrayed. More accurate title would have been Genghis the Usurper or Temujin the Traitor

Love your historical content! And although I'm clearly not clever by noticing the error around 11: 13 while we are at it. drop the hand drawn arrows on maps. They dont add much value if any and they look pretty terrible. With that said. I truly enjoy your historical narratives. outstanding content and you have a great voice to compliment it. I never knew the Huns practiced head binding. Weird skulls of cone headed people were found in areas of the Black sea that are the same as the ones found in Paracas, Peru. These skulls are not humans as the mass of the heads are bigger than ours and clearly different from head bounded human skulls. The nobility of the people of Peru also practiced head binding. Who and what were these cone headed people and why did the homo-sapiens that lived among them practice head binding in almost reverence of them?

Goths did not call themselves Goths. Romans called them Goths because they could not pronounce their name. They were Slavs, Serbs. Ancient Slavic spread far and reached India. Ethimology proves that Sanskrit developed from ancient Slavic which is older, and branched to all so called Indo-European (previously so called Germano-European. Pope and Vatican lies are spoon fed across centuries.

History Time Maybe think about re-doing some of your older content. It can be hard to follow what you say at times and the music tends to be much louder than the level you speak at, forcing one to continually raise and lower the volume. meh back to the show When you speak it sounds like I'm listening to you through a cup, that is connected by a string to another cup, that you're speaking in to; then all of the sudden, music blares loud and clear(at a higher decibel.

This was very enjoyable and, as far as I could see, historically accurate. The narrative text is full of distracting dangling modifiers and the pronunciation of Latin names is mostly pretty bad (For example, it's Marcomanni not Macromanni. Maybe that was in vol. 1. I'm not sure. That was just the one that stuck with me most) Nevertheless, I do appreciate the contribution these videos make to public education.

It is astonishing how the romans were able to gain back enough favour with the very same people whom they betrayed in their feasting and let's talk manoeuvers time and time again to get them into their tents again to sign peace treaties! Who in the world would go and talk with them after witnessing them breaking their word all the time and slaughtering emissaries & leaders?

Ermanaric had THE biggest balls on Earth at the time to look his people and his customs and decide that offering his own life, and foregoing all vanities and titles that came with his position, was the best option for the future of his people. Hi. Love your videos, they are GREAT! I have a side note commentary, Fritigern took over as ruler of the Thervigian Goths. I immediately heared/saw the resemblant of the ruler in Britain who invited the Saxons/Angels, Vorteigern. Is it a anglic/saxon version of his Celtic/Romano name. or was he of Germanic blood also? Fritigern. Vorteigern. pretty close languistic.

I like these documentaries. But I feel you have a bias against the Romans. you brush over their successes too quickly but stay on the goths and how the Romans tried too portray them badly. I have no problem with you showing the Romans did this or that the goths won eventually over the Romans. I just feel you should cover it in a more balanced form. Just my opinion.

I never realized the goths were basically like the population overflow of Germanic tribes. These documentaries teach me more than a whole semester of college typically does. the professor I had just listed off the names and focused mostly on Roman laws and freaking satellite images of Irish farms. THIS is what we should be learning about in this video.
