Bernadotte was what one would call a Benedict Arnold of France. He started out fighting for France, and was very successful in this endeavor, but saw greater glory by siding with the Allies, as Arnold did with the British. In this case though, Bernadotte came out on the winning side while Arnold did not.

Yhea but didn't Napoleon and the French do it all alone? It's a very common myth that it took a coalition to defeat just lonely old Napoleon and his French soldiers.

Big mistake from Napoleon to put inexperienced relatives to lead the other 2 armies. He should've put both under leadership of experienced commanders, like Davout.
